Ghost Harbor Brewing Company see y’all Friday for ArtWalk / Date Night combo!
First Friday ArtWalk January 6, 2023, Downtown Elizabeth City.
Every First Friday of the month many art studios and businesses in downtown Elizabeth City are open from 4:00 pm until 7:00 PMish for our First Friday ArtWalk! Guest artists along with food and music abound as businesses remain open later and the downtown streets come to life. Come down to see all of our local creativity; stay to dine or sip at one of our 19 independently-owned pubs, coffee shops, and restaurant options downtown.
The first First Friday ArtWalk of the year is always a little more small and cozy than the others. Business owners are taking a breather from the hectic holiday season and prepping for what we’re all hoping will be an amazing 2023. A smaller ArtWalk allows for more time to visit those who are participating and enables you to more leisurely linger and chat with artisans, business owners, and other ArtWalkers. Fourteen (14) stops is nothing to shake a stick at. Back in the beginning years of ArtWalk, 14 stops was considered a large event.
There will be one ribbon cutting, one “Downtowniversary,” a community meditation, and multiple live music options (to include ukuleles and the dulcimer, in addition to the normal variety of art and artisans.
Remember that the Hot Cocoa Crawl is in full sipping swing through January 15th, so if you haven’t already participated, you still have the chance. ArtWalk is a great evening to start (or continue) your cocoa crawl experience. Visit www.HotCocoaCapital.com for all locations and experiences.
Big Boss Burritos will have their new food truck in operation and serving their delicious food from 5:00 until 10:00 pm at Mariners’ Wharf Park.
Catch a ride from Public Parking to the ArtWalk or from location to location in the new ECDI SMV transport vehicle. Rides given from 4:00-7:30 pm.
