At Active-Soles we create custom footbeds using digital data. We create a digital model of your foot using the latest pressure sensitive technology. We evaluate your gait pattern and use the digital model of your foot to design a footbed exactly to you. Your footbed is brought to life using our 2D milling machine, making you a one of a kind, completely custom footbed.

🤯 Our feet are incredibly sensitive 🧠

This has its advantages:
- Protection from the environment
- Improved Stabilty
- Ability to adjust to uneven terrain

But our hypersensitive in our feet can also be confusing when buying new shoes or adjusting to a custom orthotic. Initial comfort is not a great indicator when it comes to making structural correction to our feet. Comfortability is familiarity. It will take time for the nervous system to get used to a new environment
Ex: new shoes or a new orthotic

Advice - Be patient when making structural changes. Start slow. Wear new shoes or orthotics for only 30min at a time to start. Increase time as tolerated in 10-30min increments.

I am excited to join the Womans Business League in Exeter, NH. It's an opportunity to grow in the community and support other women in business.

I started Active-Soles Custom Orthotics 7 years ago. It's been a wonderful way to be a part of the Seacoast Community. One of the things I like most about my job is meeting new people and learning about their interests and goals.
- Pain-free hiking?
- Comfortable barefoot walking?
- Prevent shin-splints during lacrosse?

I like working with clients throughout their lives. We may start out working on one thing, and a year later, we have a new ambition.

Foot Fact Friday:

There are 10 intrinsic muscles on the plantar surface of the foot. They are responsible for toe movement and arch stabilization.

Like any muscle group in our body we need equal amounts of strength and mobility to have healthy tissue.

Custom Orthotics are a tool used to correct imbalances between mobility and strength. The goal is to encourage each muscle in the foot to contribute to the workload, to control hypermobility and encourage movement in areas of hypomobility.
