In light of the election, inauguration and implementation of this administration's agenda, Reckless Abandon Leathers would like to make the following ABUNDANTLY clear:

Reckless Abandon Leathers is a safe business for Women of all shapes and sizes, LGBTQIA+, and all BIPOC individuals. I categorically oppose fascism and right-wing hate and bigotry in all its forms and I WILL make those targeted by it feel safe in my booth.

If you are MAGA, "Blue lives Matter," racist, transphobic, homophobic, call yourself an "Alpha," "Sigma," or whatever-the-f**k made-up category you want to create and add yourself to in order to play "Better-than-you" toward others (a trait I find exclusively exhibited by insecure hard right-wingers looking to hate others out of their own insecurities)...

I don't want your business.

That's right, I said what I said.

I don't want you representing my work and my brand, I don't care what you think-- or what you want to say about it.

I don't want your money, and I don't care if you never spend another dollar on my work. I don't care if you give my work away if you have any, and I'm just going to laugh if you burn it or otherwise destroy it (not covered by the warranty and I already got what money you spent, so you do you, LMAO).

For every item you refuse to buy from me or that I refuse to sell to you, just know that someone I want to feel safe in my booth will buy something and wear or use it with pride, knowing I care enough to declare that your kind is unwelcome at my place of business.

Don't like it? Die mad about it.

Actually, I take it back.

You don't have to be mad.

Cordially,
Frederick the Reckless
Owner and Proprietor,

HOW TO LACE YOUR CORSET!!!

We back our warranty at Reckless Abandon Leathers:Color refresh on the worst sun/LED light faded corset we've ever seen....

We back our warranty at Reckless Abandon Leathers:

Color refresh on the worst sun/LED light faded corset we've ever seen.

This level of bleaching had to have been from a solid week in direct sunlight or white LED (they put out HUGE levels of UV radiation, FYI). This is discouraged, obviously because it will accelerate the fading of the leather.

We hypothesize the person who received (not the customer, but rather a person trusted to hold it for pickup) the package, opened it to confirm what it was, and left it out on a table either near a window in the summer sun, or under a white LED light for a week or more.

Color refreshment on request is something covered under our lifetime limited warranty as normal wear and tear. This is along with broken bones, popped rivets, rings coming off, grommets pulling free or shredding laces, the leather splitting due to a missed defect, for as long as the leather is in a condition that it can be repaired.

We cover two more things that technically aren't normal wear and tear:

Weight loss-- if you lose weight to the point where the corset is loose and no longer supports, we will do one of two things:

If the corset still looks like new you can trade straight over for the next size smaller.

If the corset looks like you wore it while being dragged behind a truck, we'll tailor it in to the next size smaller. This can only be done once, FYI.

The last thing we cover is something we haven't had to yet, and hope we never will, but we're prepared to:

EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.

This is to say if a paramedic or other rescue worker needs to cut you out of your corset and cuts through the leather (the laces aren't covered, they can be bought easily yourself), we will replace that corset.

Your original corset will be rebuilt, if it's still in good condition aside from the cut panels. If you want it back for sentimental reasons we'll trade you for the replacement corset.

If it's covered in blood or whatnot, you get a replacement corset and your original corset back as is, to use as a visual aid for when you tell your friends how much you suck at dying. If this happens, thank you for being very bad at dying, and please continue suck at it as much as you can for as long as you can.

Appreciate the before and after.

Oregon Leather has invited us to teach leatherworking workshops in their tack shop section upstairs.

If we did it, we would most likely teach workshops on items you can make in two hours each or so.

Things like basic bracers, bottle wraps, belt pouches and such.

The way it would work is we charge a shop fee, provide materials and tools lists, and have said materials and tools onhand for the class to use. We teach the class and you leave with your new thingy you made yourself, hopefully stopping in the store to buy tools and supplies for more.

If we chose to move forward with this idea, how many would enroll?
