Let us think of ways to motivate one another, to do acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.

Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭3‬ ‭

Many people in prison are there as a consequence. There are people who are there for the “big stuff” but there are also people who are there for things like trespassing, theft, disorderly conduct… trespassing from Mexico to America in search of opportunity or to be reunited with their family. Theft — because mom and dad are drug addicts who weren’t responsible for feeding their child, so they stole to eat. Disorderly conduct from anger towards someone who abused them.

I’m not saying any of this is okay; I am simply trying to give perspective to any narrative you’ve believed about inmates. There are reasons & motives way too deep to understand, but we are called to love, pray and extend compassion. I invite you to take a step forward in that direction today by taking time to pray for them 🖤

“Can you worship death and life at the same time? The scripture tells us that Jesus brings life and death is literally death. Light and darkness cannot co exist. Santa muerte goes against who the person of Christ is.”

As soon as I speak what the Spirit whispered in my mind, the eyes of the women were wide open and said, “that’s it! That’s true!”

It resonated strongly in their heart and that’s why I’m so glad Holy Spirit joins us every time 🙌🏽 what a beautiful moment!

For those who do ministry/ work in some type of direct care — I know it’s not always easy. You don’t always want to go, have the energy, feel appreciated or see any fruit from your service/ commitment.

God sees it. plant seeds, water them & commit to the labor.
God is THE ONE WHO IS building (his kingdom in the hearts of his people. )
and We Are God’s fellow workers.
It is He whom will bring forth the growth 🌱

Most kids are still wearing the same set of clothes since we got here. The resources in these communities are just so low, and it’s a shame they live so far away from civilization. The communities are not existent on a map, so if anything happened to us, no one would know.

Also did I mention that many children don’t have names? Isaiah has been trying to leave his mark by convincing the parents to name them after him lol
not gonna lie, if there was a baby girl with no name, I would always offer Genesis as my fist suggestion.
Our translator said that they do have names but they just don’t say them out loud. Because of a cultural superstitious that they’d be easy to hex if people knew their name, the parents and children will not share their name (or real name other than their nickname) unless they trust you.

David understood that he did not only need the love of God - he also needed the guidance of God.

Another translation says,
“cause me to know the way in which I should walk..”

David confessed that he didn’t KNOW THE WAY and that he needed God to CAUSE him to KNOW THE WAY.

Humility. You can find a shortcut to a lot of things, but the only way to humility is to humble yourself before the lord.

After breakfast, i went to the scary bathroom for the last time. Tere walked with me to commemorate the moment and sang while she waited for me outside.
We packed our belongings and started walking into the mountain. Pastor Martin and the others lead us into a route that would lead us to the next indigenous community; it would take us about 5 hours to get there.
We crossed 3 rivers to get to Sisim.
We came across a little store in the middle of nowhere and it had a fridge! How did they get a fridge up here? No idea, but I was so excited to finally have a cold drink quench my thirst.
I bought a cold water and an energy drink for $17 pesos in the middle of no where! Such a random moment.
We walked for hours. We went up and down mountains/ cerros. we took breaks, helped & made fun of each other along the way. It was great. We arrived to Sisim.

It will soon be ✌🏽weeks since our friends at have landed in Mexico City for their first half of outreach!

They’ve been able to speak at churches, give food and pray for people at the hospitals, worship in public spaces and share about Jesus in the streets & the subway 🔥🔥
