Oh my God, what a bittersweet moment yesterday was. As many of you know Saturday marked our final day of operation at The White Rabbit Vintage Shoppe and yesterday I spent the day packing and cleaning out my space. It goes without saying that there was a roller coaster of emotions.
I cried, I danced, and sat back and reflected on the past 8 YEARS - boy what a ride. The ups, the downs, the treasures hunts, the late nights working on displays, the existing & new relationships & friendships, formed, the great memories, you can’t forget Covid, and sadly the loss of my business/life partner.
I’m so grateful for all our valued customers and the people who really cared to know us and appreciated our hard work. On behalf of The White Lion and Cottage 9, Thank you ALL for embracing our passion for antiques, for the memories, the personal stories, for trusting us with your business, and for being part of our small business journey. To Sonia, Yoli, and my fellow vendors @ TWR - thank you for your unwavering hospitality and support. To my God, I give thanks for all His blessings, guidance and protection.
Many have asked what was I doing with the treasures that didn’t sell. Mostly all of them will go to our warehouse for storage. A select few have been consigned to a friend who will showcase them at her new clothing boutique, La Cassa, in San Benito. Perhaps sometime in the future I may consider doing a pop-up or antique/vintage show here and there. I may also occasionally create vignettes and post pictures of items available for sell to get my fix and since it seems I can’t stop thrifting and buying new treasures. 😕
Please continue to follow our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates.
But on happier note, I’m really looking forward to the new adventures, travel, but especially spending more time with my family. 🙂 I appreciate your support as I transition to this new chapter in my life.
This is not goodbye but see you later! God bless and be with you! 🙏
