Had such a beautiful time at this morning's Breakfast & Bibles! 🩷🕊🙏🙌🏼
God is so faithful in reminding us that He places us in positions and places to share His aroma of love, joy, hope, and truth. Through our lives, others should be able to experience the beauty of His presence and the reassurance of His promises.
But what aroma are you sharing daily?
Is it inviting?
Is it peaceful?
Is it sincere?
Is it full of grace and love?
Sometimes, without realizing it, we give off the scent of hurt, doubt, grief, pride, bitterness, offense, disappointment, or unforgiveness. These fragrances do not come from a heart at rest in God, but from wounds that still need to be surrendered to Him.
Mary poured out a fragrance that was pleasing to the Lord. It was more than perfum, it was the fragrance of trust, obedience, surrender, and abiding love. She held nothing back.
Scripture tells us:
"For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing." — 2 Corinthians 2:15
Today, ask yourself:
What have I been carrying in my heart that needs to be surrendered to God?
Is it hurt?
Betrayal?
Offense?
Grief?
Trauma?
Disappointment?
What has been creating a fragrance that God never intended for you to carry?
When I walk into a room, I want the love of God to be known. I don't want my circumstances, struggles, or hardships to enter first. I want His presence to be what people encounter before anything else.
Take a moment today and ask the Lord:
"Father, what have I hidden? What have I endured that I have not fully surrendered to You? Show me so I can release it, leave it at Your feet, and walk forward without looking back."
Because in Christ, we are made new.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come."— 2 Corinthians 5:17
May the Lord heal every wounded place in your heart. May He make it pure, whole, and ready to receive a new fragrance, a fresh aroma that is pleasing to Him.
Today, let Him exchange your hurt for healing, your grief for hope, your bitterness for joy, and your ashes for beauty.
May your life carry the fragrance of Jesus everywhere you go. 🌷🙏🫶
