We like to think John Brown would be proud to see how Harpers Ferry continues to inspire conversations about freedom, dignity, and justice. ✊
Since opening our doors in this historic town, Tenfold has been dedicated to caring for our global neighbors through ethical trade, supporting artisans who are paid fairly for their work, create beautiful products using traditional handicrafts, and work with dignity within their communities. We believe caring for people and caring for our planet go hand in hand.
This weekend marks the 167th anniversary of John Brown’s Raid, and Harpers Ferry National Historical Park is commemorating this pivotal moment in history with special programs and living-history experiences.
Here’s what’s happening:
• Friday, October 16 | 5 PM-midnight: a five-mile commemorative night walk retracing John Brown’s march. Advance registration required; $200 per person.
• Saturday & Sunday, October 17-18 | 11 AM–4 PM: living-history programs exploring the raid through the perspectives of U.S. Marines, local residents, formerly enslaved people, and John Brown. Free with regular park admission.

We invite you to spend the weekend learning about the history that shaped our country, exploring Harpers Ferry, and stopping by Tenfold to discover thoughtfully made products from artisans around the world.
We remain as committed to the care of our planet as we are to the care of our global neighbors. 🖤
