Precision matters, in baseball and for your eyes.

When the front surface of your eye, called the cornea, is evenly round like a baseball, light focuses at the same point in your eye, causing clear vision. When it has two different curvatures like a football, light focuses at two different points, and vision can appear blurry or distorted. That difference in curvature is called astigmatism.

The good news: it's common and treatable. A comprehensive eye exam can diagnose it and recommend the right treatment.

👁️ Eye Health: Simple Tips and Exercises to Protect Your Eyes
Our eyes are one of the most important organs. With long hours of screens, reading, and outdoor exposure, eye strain and discomfort are common. Gentle exercises and proper care can help protect your eyes, improve focus, and reduce fatigue.
🌿 Tips to Protect Your Eyes
Take Regular Breaks from Screens – Use the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
Wear Sunglasses Outdoors – Protects eyes from harmful UV rays.
Eat Eye-Healthy Foods – Include carrots, spinach, eggs, citrus fruits, and nuts in your diet.
Stay Hydrated – Drinking water keeps eyes moist and reduces dryness.
Maintain Proper Lighting – Avoid reading or working in dim light to reduce strain.
👁️ Simple Eye Exercises
1. Eye Rolling: Slowly roll your eyes clockwise and then counter-clockwise. Repeat 5–10 times to relax eye muscles.
2. Focus Shifting: Hold your finger close to your nose and then move it away while keeping your focus. Repeat 10 times to improve focus flexibility.
3. Palming: Rub your hands to warm them and gently cover your closed eyes for 30 seconds. This relaxes eye muscles and reduces strain.
4. Blinking Exercise: Blink every few seconds for a minute to keep eyes lubricated, especially during screen use.
5. Near-Far Focus: Look at an object far away for a few seconds, then shift focus to a nearby object. Repeat 10–15 times to strengthen eye focus.
🌟 Additional Tips
Get regular eye check-ups to detect problems early.
Sleep well to allow eyes to rest and recover.
Reduce prolonged exposure to digital devices.
