Dora Novak is a professional designer and seamstress with extensive knowledge in dance costume aesthetics. Born in Des Moines, Iowa she was able to start learning about textile design at Central Campus where she was a part of fashion shows and built her own collections. Moving to New York in 2007 to pursue a degree at Purchase College, she started working as a costumer for senior projects in the

dance and theater conservatories. After Purchase, she immediately started work at Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet where she was a seamstress and wardrobe assistant. She continues her work there as she has started freelancing around the boroughs.
