A recent prom gown alteration: A hand-me-down gown had the back straps cut off. It also needed hemmed, so I took some of the hem fabric and created new straps, fitting them perfectly to my customer!

A previously hemmed prom dress came back to me with a busted zipper! It was always difficult to zip at the seam where the bodice and skirt met. Eventually it would no longer zip correctly in that area.

Solution: cut the zipper to stop at the waistline, add 4 hook and eye (one was already at the top) to close the bodice!

All hand-sewing work, but 4 sore fingers later and it’s ready for prom! 💃🏻
