Update on Frank!
He’s doing great and is getting settled in to his forever home! He has come a very long way from being found almost lifeless on the side of the road. He still has a long recovery ahead of him but now he can do that in the comfort of his own home. I will speak on Franks behalf and say thank you so so much to the amazing ladies, Kimber who found him and Beth who adopted him.
Frank RECAP
This is Frank.. Frank is blind..
We need a little bit of everything for this sweet older gentleman right now…
a foster, an adopter, donations toward his medical care, and LOTS of shares.
Frank was found lying in a ditch out in the country Friday evening. He was covered in fleas, severely matted, dehydrated and malnourished. At first, his finder thought he had been hit by a car because he could barely walk.
But Frank wasn’t injured.
He was simply so weak that his body was giving out. And somehow, this completely blind cat had been trying to survive outside alone.
She immediately took him in and got him to a veterinarian Saturday morning. He had no microchip. Because no one knew whether he was going to pull through, the first priority was getting him stable. He was started on antibiotics and treated for fleas and worms.
Frank has been fighting.
He is now eating and drinking well, getting stronger every day and using the litter box about 80% of the time. Some of his severe mats have been removed, so he has a bit of a patchy haircut right now.
But the most incredible thing?
After everything he’s been through, Frank is kind, gentle and friendly.♥️
The vet believes he is an older cat. Being blind means Frank will need a patient, understanding home where he can learn his surroundings and feel safe.. but blindness does NOT mean he can’t have a happy, comfortable and incredibly loved life.
Frank’s rescue isn’t finished.
His next steps include:
• Bloodwork and testing for feline diseases
• Neutering once he’s healthy enough
• Sedation to safely remove his remaining mats
• Continued veterinary care and recovery
• A safe foster or forever home equipped to love a blind kitty
Right now, Frank is confined to a bedroom in the home of the wonderful woman who found him. She already has six dogs and another male cat, and she is preparing to undergo surgery for breast cancer.
She stopped for a blind, dying cat in a ditch when he had nobody else.
Now she needs us to step in for Frank while she takes care of herself.
WE NEED A FOSTER who can give Frank a quiet, safe place to recover.
WE NEED AN ADOPTER willing to give a blind senior gentleman the secure, comfortable life he deserves.
WE NEED DONATIONS for his upcoming bloodwork, testing, neuter, mat removal and veterinary care.
WE NEED SHARES. If you can’t do anything else, PLEASE share him. His foster or forever person may simply not know about him yet.
Frank was blind, starving, dehydrated, covered in fleas and painfully matted alone in a ditch… And he survived.
He deserves to find out what it feels like to be safe!
If you can FOSTER, ADOPT, DONATE or otherwise help Frank, please comment that you have message me(I have a tone of messages) and i will reach every message concerning Frank
Please share Frank. Let’s finish his rescue.
