Our shop located in Harwinton is open by chance or appointment durin

This may look like a simple fruit salad but it’s the dressing that’s the star of the show! Made with fresh orange and lemon juices, honey and vanilla extract, it’s SO easy and delicious!
Every place I take it, people always want the recipe for the dressing. I make a big bowl of it for me and hub, it’s not just for potlucks or parties😋
Fruit salad
13 cups of fresh fruit
Apples, honeydew, watermelon, cantaloupe, blueberries, pineapple, strawberries, grapes, bananas, oranges, blackberries etc…
Sauce
2/3 C fresh orange juice (2 oranges)
1/2 teas orange zest
1/3 C fresh lemon juice (5.3T)
1/2 teas vanilla extract or paste
1/3 C honey
Bring all sauce ingredients except vanilla to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool in freezer for 20 minutes til cool. Pour over fruit salad and chill.
