Chamomile got put in the sleepy girl box and honestly… she deserves a rebrand 🌼
Poor chamomile.

The second people hear her name they immediately think: "Nighttime tea."
And then that's the end of the conversation.

Meanwhile chamomile is over here with a full résumé.

Chamomile has traditionally been used to support relaxation, yes.
But it's also traditionally used for digestive support and is often appreciated for its gentle nature.

She's basically the friend that shows up and quietly helps hold everything together.

No attention seeking.
No dramatic entrance.
Just dependable support.

I think herbs get oversimplified a lot. We reduce them to one job and forget that plants are beautifully complex.

Chamomile is soft. But soft does not equal weak.

Tiny flower.
Big personality.

Save this to your herbal notebook 🌼 Tell me below: are you team chamomile or team peppermint?

Anybody else feel exhausted and overstimulated by summer even when you're technically having fun? ☀️🙃

Summer always gets marketed as this magical season where we're all barefoot in fields, drinking lemonade and living our best lives.

Meanwhile reality sometimes looks more like:
☀️ hotter temperatures
☀️ louder environments
☀️ busier schedules
☀️ kids home for summer
☀️ events every weekend
☀️ existing in humidity against your will

Even fun things still require energy.

Sometimes people think they're lazy or "off" when really their nervous system is just processing a lot.

Longer days and packed schedules can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time.

This is one of the reasons I love creating tiny rituals during chaotic seasons.

Not because tea fixes life, but because routines give your brain little moments of predictability.

A favorite mug.

Five quiet minutes.

A breath between all the noise.

Sometimes support isn't adding more. Sometimes support is creating space.

Save this for your overstimulated bestie ☀️ Tell me below: summer energizes you or summer drains you?

You know when you suddenly want to wear the outfit?
Not save it. Not wait. The outfit.

Venus rules connection, enjoyment, beauty, and what feels good.
Leo energy likes warmth, expression, creativity, and actually letting yourself take up space.

So Venus in Leo can feel like remembering that life isn't supposed to only be errands and obligations.

This can look like:
• wanting to dress up for no reason
• craving fun
• feeling more expressive
• wanting appreciation
• realizing you've been making yourself smaller

You might also suddenly think:
"Wait...why am I acting like I'm background decor in my own life?"

Stop waiting for special occasions.
Wear the thing.
Light the candle.
Use the good mug.
Tiny moments count too.

So maybe tonight you can put on music while making dinner.
That's it. No complicated moon water situation required.

High Maintenance feels very Venus in Leo. A little extra? Absolutely. Try a mug and see if it doesn't make you feel very center stage.

You're allowed to enjoy things before you've earned them.

You know when your brain suddenly wants to start a garden, a business, learn Italian, and reorganize the pantry?
All before lunch?

New moons tend to act like reset points. Not "become a brand new person by Tuesday" energy. More like a fresh page. Gemini energy is curious. It notices things. It gathers information, asks questions, and wants options. Lots of options.

Gemini isn't indecisive because it's flaky.
Gemini notices possibilities.

So maybe you feel like this:
• ten tabs open in your brain
• random curiosity about something new
• wanting to text people
• making lists you'll probably forget about
• bouncing between ideas

You might catch yourself saying: "Wait...do I actually want this?"
Because sometimes curiosity and commitment are not the same thing.

Pay attention to recurring thoughts. Not every idea needs immediate action.
Let things sit for a minute. The ideas that keep showing up usually matter more than the ones screaming for attention.

Things you can do for this New Moon:
Grab a notebook and brain dump everything.
No organizing.
No fixing.
No color coding.
Just get the tabs out.

Make a nice cup of Lemon Charm tea. It feels very fitting here. Bright, fresh, and kind of like opening the windows after being inside too long.

You don't have to force clarity.
Sometimes your only job is paying attention.

Not everyone gets VIP access to the version of you that finally tells the truth.
Being honest will cost you people — and save you yourself.

Let's be real for a second.
A lot of us learned to become shape-shifters. We got good at reading rooms. Staying agreeable. Keeping the peace. Making ourselves easier to digest for everybody else.

And sure… people tend to like the version of you that never rocks the boat.
Until one day you realize you've become a guest in your own damn life.

Because honesty sometimes costs relationships, expectations, and comfort.
But pretending costs you something too.
And usually the bill gets delivered straight to your nervous system.

Your people won't disappear because you finally got real.
Your people recognize you when you do.

Save this for the day you're tempted to make yourself smaller again 🌙

Can we normalize not loving herbs into extinction? 🌿
I know we all get excited when a plant suddenly becomes popular.

One thing I think deserves way more conversation is sustainable herbalism.
Plants are not unlimited.

When demand explodes, overharvesting can become a real issue.

Part of being an herbalist for me has always been education and responsibility.
Because loving plants also means protecting them.

That can look like:
🌿 ethically sourced herbs
🌿 supporting sustainable growers
🌿 learning before wild harvesting
🌿 using alternatives when needed

Herbalism has always had a relationship with the land.

Not just taking from it.

Working with it.

Respecting it.

Keeping it around for future generations of weird little plant lovers.

The goal isn't perfection.

The goal is awareness.

Come pack a summer market with me and I'll tell you what people immediately grab 👀

Market prep days always start with me thinking:
"This won't take long."

Then suddenly I'm surrounded by tea bags, inventory boxes, herbs, labels, and enough packaging supplies to open a tiny shipping empire.

But after doing markets for over a year, there are definitely products people are gravitating toward during summer months:

🌿 Oasis — because summer heat and hydration become a personality trait
🌿 Lemon Charm — bright, citrusy, refreshing, and feels like sunshine in a cup
🌿 Mystic Mint — because peppermint and lemon balm are that dependable friend that always shows up

BONUS: They are super yummy over ice.

Summer routines usually become less about adding twenty-seven things and more about finding products you'll actually use consistently.
And honestly?
That's my favorite kind of wellness.

Simple.
Supportive.
Real-life friendly.

Now excuse me while I continue playing tea Tetris with inventory because we are headed to TEXAS this weekend!

Friendly reminder: herbs are not "if some is good then seventeen handfuls must be amazing" 🌿

Peppermint deserves a quick public service announcement.
Because wellness culture started convincing people that more automatically equals better.

Extra powder.
Extra supplements.
Extra herbs.
Extra everything.

And herbs don't really work like collecting Pokémon cards.

Peppermint is wonderful. It has traditionally been used for digestive support, cooling support, and helping the body feel refreshed.

However, herbalism has always been more about balance than excess.
Herbs aren't one-size-fits-all.

They're tools. And good herbalism isn't:
"How much can I take?"

It's usually:
"What support makes sense for me right now?"

The goal isn't to throw every herb in your kitchen into one giant emotional support mug. The goal is intentional support.

Your body is not a contest. And your tea should not require a chemistry degree.

Save this for the person collecting supplements like Infinity Stones 😂 What's your forever herb — the one you always keep around?

Some herbs feel cool because they literally have cooling actions and honestly… summer owes them a thank-you note 🌺

There’s something kind of fascinating about herbal energetics because herbs aren't always just looked at for what nutrients they contain — herbalists have also traditionally looked at how herbs feel in the body.

And Hibiscus? She usually lands in the cooling category.

Think of cooling herbs like the friend that walks into a chaotic room, opens the windows, turns on a fan, and says: "We're not doing this today."

Cooling herbs have traditionally been used when things feel hot, overstimulated, sluggish, or just generally too much.

And during summer? That can matter.

Because some of us start feeling personally victimized by June.
🌺 Hibiscus brings a bright tart flavor
🌺 Traditionally used for cooling support
🌺 Makes absolutely gorgeous iced tea
🌺 Main-character energy in a glass

I think people assume wellness has to become complicated.
Meanwhile nature is over here handing us flowers and saying:
"Maybe sit down and drink something cold."

Honestly? Fair.
