Today feels like a sad day at Hey Dolly. 💗
Many of you know, when I chose the name Hey Dolly, it was a play on many things (Hello, Dolly! Hey Doll!) but I also wanted this little store to lead with the
spirit and values the PERSON Dolly carried through life.
She was unapologetically herself. She was kind. Funny. Generous. Welcoming. She believed in lifting people up, giving back, dreaming big, and finding plenty of reasons to laugh along the way.
That was the feeling I wanted this little store to have.
A place where anyone could walk through the door and feel welcomed. Where you could be yourself, have a little fun, maybe find something that makes you feel really good — and hopefully leave a little happier than when you came in.
Today, the world lost a truly remarkable woman. Here at Hey Dolly we'll keep doing our small part in carrying that spirit forward - choosing kindness, lifting each other up, laughing often and reminding each person that walks through our doors that being exactly who you are is always worth celebrating.
Thank you, Dolly, for reminding us that you can be strong and soft, successful and generous, glamorous and humble — and always, always yourself. 💗
