Creative thingamajig

Creative thingamajig I make fashion jewelry. Each piece is unique and I make only one of a kind. My family moved to Florida from Tennessee when I was young.

I have lived in other states during my adult life, but consider Florida my home. I now live in Havana after working and retiring from a state job in Tallahassee. Growing up I was taught not to waste anything. I can see a potential use in most things that others would discard. I have always recycled even before it was popular. With so much saved material to work with, I had an idea to use some of t

hese treasures to make jewelry. Some of the decorations I use in my jewelry come from my Mother’s vintage and fashion jewelry that I re-purposed into new items. Nothing goes to waste, broaches, earrings, leather, chains, ribbon, buttons, fabric samples, beads and ornaments. I enjoy making something new out of something old or something made for other purposes. In addition to handmade crafts, I enjoy photography and gardening. I see beauty in all of God’s creation, which I try to illustrate in jewelry. Handcrafts and photography.
