Embroidery Babes

Embroidery Babes Like many others, I struggled with infertility, which led to anxiety and depression. My heart is in the business which is evident from customer testimonials.

From IVF to Embroidery
Featured in NJ Monthly, 201 Mag, The Montclair Girl, Bergen Mama, Bergen Mom's Network & BC the Mag I discovered that hand embroidery gave me an outlet to be creative, reduced my anxiety and helped me get through this difficult stage of my life. After having my daughter by IVF, I decided to turn my passi

on into a business and started Embroidery Babes in 2022. Embroidery Babes has grown to offer specialty clothing and accessories as well as embroidery events, workshops and parties in the NJ/NY area.

I am passionate about sharing my love for hand embroidery through my workshops and provide a creative and fun experience. I love connecting with my customers whether it be through social media or in-person. Embroidery Babes is active in the community, always participating in local events and fundraisers. When I’m not working, I’m running after my two children! My goal is to share my infertility story to show how you can turn your struggles into something beautiful. If you ever want to talk about your infertility experience or hear mine, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Some people walk into a workshop and remind you exactly why this work matters.

Samantha Idan is a three-time Embroidery Babe attendee, an Englewood mom, wife, dog mom, and therapist who supports people living with cancer. She also happens to be living with incurable, metastatic breast cancer herself, and next month she celebrates 7 years of life post-diagnosis.

Why does Sam keep coming back to our workshops?

She told me stitching has helped her neuropathy and gives her a way to quiet her brain, especially during the waiting. Waiting for scans. Waiting for answers. Waiting through the hard, heavy stretches that so many people never see.

And still, Sam continues to show up. For treatment. For her family. For her work. For herself. For the beauty and hardship of being here.

That is what makes this week’s project so special. Not just the stitches, but the person behind them.

Sam, thank you for trusting us with your story and for reminding us that creativity can be more than a hobby. Sometimes it is grounding. Sometimes it is healing. Sometimes it is simply a way to keep going, one stitch at a time.

We are so lucky to have you as part of this community!

Matching outfits used to be something you begged your mom not to make you wear.

And then one Friday night at Willow & Whisk this mother-daughter duo brought them back in the sweetest way.

They sat side by side at our Chain Stitch Workshop in Wyckoff and made matching button-downs with their initials and our signature heart links design.

The shirts were adorable, but the best part was watching them lean over the table together, compare stitches, laugh through the “wait, am I doing this right?” moments, and turn two simple shirts into something they’ll actually remember.

That’s the magic of embroidery.

You come for a creative night out, but sometimes you leave with a little wearable time capsule.

Send this to the mom, daughter, sister, or best friend you’d make a matching piece with. 🧵❤️

Be sure to join our mailing list for info on our upcoming events posting soon!

The magic at last week's Women's Empowerment Stitch & Mingle wasn't only in the embroidery.

It was watching women-owned businesses connect, collaborate, and genuinely support one another.

One of our sponsors, .with.kristine, said it best:

"It really reminds you to support each other and to support small businesses."

If you're looking to grow your business while becoming part of an incredible community of women, we'd love to meet you.

✨ Join us August 4th or 5th in Paramus as we celebrate Embroidery Babes' 4th Anniversary.

However you come, you'll leave with more than an embroidery project.

A few hours off your phone.

A quieter mind.

A reminder that making something with your hands still feels really, really good.

At Embroidery Babes, we create beginner-friendly embroidery experiences that bring people together through creativity, connection, and conversation.

This summer, we're primarily booking private events for girls' nights, birthdays, bridal showers, team-building events, and community gatherings.

And if you've been waiting for our next women's event... stay tuned. Something special is already in the works!

Interested in hosting your own event? Send us a DM or visit embroiderybabes.com.

Yes, it’s late… but I can’t stop smiling.

The amount of positive female energy in one room tonight was truly magical.

So many incredible women, businesses, and origin stories came together for a night of community, creativity, connection, and crafting — and it was everything I hoped it would be.

More recaps to come, but I had to quickly shout out the amazing women pictured here who helped make tonight possible.

Please check out the women tagged in this photo — follow them, comment, book them, support them. They are incredible.

Comment “I’M IN” for first dibs on the next one!

She told me: "It reminded me I can do this."

Not embroidery.
Life.

The end of school chaos.
The schedules.
The mental load.
The pressure of trying to hold everything together this time of year.

She told me that after sitting down to stitch for a little while, her mind finally got quiet enough to remember:
yes, she can handle all of it 💪

That’s what these workshops have become for so many women:
a reset button.
