👑 FAQ: 2026 MISS TOWN OF HAYDEN / MISS WEST BLOUNT 👑
We know you have questions, so we’ve put together a quick FAQ with everything you need to know! Save this post and check back as we get closer to pageant day for additional updates. ✨
📅 What is the date?
November 21, 2026
📍 Where will the pageant be held?
Hayden Middle School Gym
310 2nd Ave, Hayden, AL
⏰ What is the deadline?
All entry fees, photos, and ads must be submitted by November 1, 2026.
👑 What are the divisions?
• 8th Grade — Junior Teen
• 9th Grade — Junior High
• 10th Grade — Teen Miss
• 11th Grade — Junior Miss
• 12th Grade — Miss High School — $500 Scholarship
• 18-23 — Miss (Collegiate) — $1,000 Scholarship
• Ages 24–35 — Ms. — not currently married; divorced contestants and single moms are welcome
• Ages 24–35 — Mrs. — currently married
• Ages 35+ — Elite Mrs. — married, divorced, or single moms
✨ What are the areas of competition?
Beauty, Photogenic, and Interview.
🎤 Do I have to compete in Interview?
All Miss (Collegiate) contestants are required to compete in Interview.
For all other divisions, Interview is optional.
⏰ What time is my group? When do I need to be ready?
An official schedule will be released closer to the pageant. Be sure to follow this page for schedule updates!
💄 Will there be hair and makeup vendors at the venue?
Yes! Hair and makeup vendors will be available on-site as a courtesy to our contestants. You are welcome to book with any artist of your choice—you are not required to use the vendors at the venue.
📱 How do I book with one of the on-site vendors?
Check the pinned post above for the list of vendors and their contact information. You will contact the artist directly to schedule your appointment.
👑 Is there a winner for each age group?
Yes! We will crown two queens from each division:
👑 Miss Town of Hayden- Hayden residents only
👑 Miss West Blount- no residency restrictions
👗 What do I wear on stage?
All contestants should wear a traditional pageant gown or dress. There are no specific gown guidelines, but age-appropriate attire should be considered.
🎤 What do I wear for Interview?
Business attire is recommended. This can include a pantsuit, jumpsuit, or dress. Choose something that makes you feel confident and allows your personality to shine!
📸 Do I have to submit a Photogenic photo?
Yes! Every contestant is required to submit a photo for the Photogenic competition.
📸 Does my Photogenic photo have to be professional?
No! Professional photos are not required. You are welcome to take your own photo. A clear, good-quality photo of your face is all that is required.

Please include the contestant's full name and age division in the subject line. Must be Submitted by November 1st
🖨️ Do I need to bring a printed photo?
Yes! Each contestant must bring a printed 5x7 copy of their submitted Photogenic photo to registration on pageant day.
💰 What is the total cost?
The entry fee is $75.
$85 if you are participating in interview
You may pay the full amount at registration, or you can pay a $30 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot and pay the remaining $45 by November 1st
💳 Can I pay in full when I register?
Absolutely! The deposit option is simply available for those who prefer to make payments.
🎟️ How many people can come watch?
Tickets will be available at the door. There is no limit on the number of guests you can bring. Seating is first come, first served.

👠 Can I book private lessons with you?
I cannot offer private lessons to contestants because of a conflict of interest. However, I will host a practice day where the current queens and I will go over general tips to help everyone feel more comfortable with their walks.

👑 Can I book with another pageant coach?
Absolutely! You are welcome to get as much help and preparation as you feel you need.

Please send PayPal payments using Friends & Family.
👠 Is there a specific walk I have to do?
No! Each contestant is welcome to create their own walk and show their personality.
Each contestant will have 90 seconds of stage time.
Contestants will enter and exit from the same side of the stage. You will begin at the back X, complete your walk, and return to the back X when you are finished. Returning to the X lets the emcee know that your walk is complete so you can be excused from the stage.
