Zipper 101
Frequent Question:
How much do you charge for coat zipper replacement ?
Answer :
It depends
First off you may only need a cheaper repair to existing zipper by replacing the pull/slide or pin / stop but if the teeth are bent or broken you will need new zipper.
Now you have to decide if the coat is worth a $25 to 45 repair basically only if it’s high end jacket or you just plain can’t live with out it.
Truth it is labor intensive job to remove and replace a zipper . I do use good quality zippers I stock a lot of sizes and colors unfortunately with hundreds of colors and length’s I may have to order . Hope this answers some of your questions.

From Saturday to Wednesday this week I hemmed 35 pairs of pants! I also replaced several zippers in coats and pants and did numerous other alterations! Whoo I am tired 😓
