Weckworth Manufacturing, Inc. is hiring sewing machine operators for 1st shift. Hours are Mon- Thurs 6:30am – 5:00 pm, with overtime on Friday as needed.

We specialize in military sewing, commercial textile contract sewing, and custom design and engineering. The primary responsibility is to sew medium and heavy-duty textile products by operation of an industrial sewing machine. Compensation is based on skill level and experience but will train the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operate industrial sewing machine (single, double needle, bar tack, box "X's" and automatic machines).
• Position materials under needle to sew them together using guides or measuring tools.
• Fulfill work orders, adjust machines and material to match and meet production needs.
• Inspect and repair finished products as needed and make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards
• Perform other jobs in the sewing and assembly areas as needed that are assigned by the supervisor, lead or other management.
Qualifications:
• Ability to sit/stand, twist/turn throughout the 10 hour working day
• Ability to lift/carry, push/pull up to 10-30lbs. Repetitive gripping, grasping, pinching, squeezing, vibratory tools and overhead reaching.
• Have good hand, feet and eye coordination.
• Work independently and stay focused to meet customer's deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with attention to detail.
• Previous sewing machine experience in a manufacturing environment is a PLUS, but we will train the right candidate for the position.
