To my peeps:
After nearly six wonderful years, I have made the difficult decision to close this chapter and offer the Hennessey Mercantile for sale.
I created this space because I love our small town and wanted to give our community a special place to gather, shop, celebrate, and feel at home. Over the years, it has grown into more than I could have imagined—a coffee shop, boutique, event room, and beauty shop filled with life, laughter, and so many wonderful memories.
On Saturday, September 19, during our town-wide garage sale, I will be holding a going-out-of-business sale on the inventory in the boutique. We will be selling inventory, tables, chairs & displays.
Friday, September 25, will be our final day to be fully open and serve lunch. We would love for you to come in, enjoy lunch, share some memories, and say goodbye.❤️
Although this will be the Hennessy Mercantile’s final day of full service, Sparky’s is not going away! Sparky’s will be moving down the street to the old liquor store location and plans to resume serving our community there in the coming month. Please continue to follow and support them as they begin their next chapter.
The coffee and drink portion of the Hennessy Mercantile will also be open for the Wine and Chocolate Festival. After the festival, the Mercantile will be fully closed and offered for sale.
This building and business have been a true labor of love. I am incredibly proud of what it has become and deeply grateful to every person who has walked through its doors, supported us, celebrated here, shopped in the boutique, or simply stopped in for a cup of coffee and conversation.
Life has brought many changes over the past few years, and after a great deal of thought, I know it is time for me to step into a new season. This was not an easy decision, but it is the right one for me and my family.
My greatest hope is to find new owners who will love this place as much as I have—people who dream of owning a small business and will continue making it a welcoming hub for our community. The possibilities here are truly limitless and I would love nothing more than to see it continue to grow and serve our town for many years to come.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for nearly six beautiful years of support, encouragement, friendship, and memories. I hope you will stop by during these final days and help us celebrate everything the Hennessy Mercantile has meant to our community. I will be posting more information at a latter date for inquiries about purchasing.
Thank you,
Stacy Cline
