Built around 1900 at the Meisertown crossroads of Routes 715 and 314 in Pocono Township, the Pocono Alps Tavern was a popular spot for drinks, music, and dancing throughout the first half of the 20th century. After its heyday as a tavern, the building was converted to a restaurant, The Red Rooster, during the 1970s and 80s, and is presently home to the vintage store Backroads Antiques.
