🔥 V1 SUMMIT — BUILT FOR JIU-JITSU ACADEMY OWNERS 🔥
September 25–27, 2026 | Hereford, Texas
V1 started with a simple idea:
What happens when you put a room full of academy owners together, remove the politics and rivalries, and just talk openly about how we can build better academies?
That is what we’re creating.
The V1 Summit, presented by Trust Clothes, is bringing academy owners and leaders together from Texas and across the country for a weekend focused on the parts of running a jiu-jitsu academy that we don't always get the opportunity to talk about.
Not just technique.
Not just competition.
But leadership, culture, kids programs, instructor development, business systems, retention, community, and the problems we all run into behind the scenes.
We already have owners and coaches bringing different perspectives and experience to the room, with sessions covering topics including:

One of the pieces I'm most excited about is our anonymous academy problem discussion.
Owners will have an opportunity to submit real problems they're dealing with inside their academy.
No names.
No judgment.
No pretending everything is perfect.
We put the problem in front of the room and ask:
“How would you handle this?”
That means you're not only learning from the speakers.
You're learning from the combined experience of every owner in the room.

FRIDAY — ARRIVAL & CONNECTION
Meet & greet followed by an optional open mat and an opportunity to grab dinner together.
This isn't just about exchanging business cards.
It's about actually getting to know the people behind the academies.
SATURDAY — V1 SUMMIT
Our main day of owner-focused sessions, conversations, round tables and shared problem solving.
We want people leaving with ideas they can actually take home and implement — not a notebook full of motivational quotes they'll never look at again.
SUNDAY — OPEN MAT & FLY OUT
A relaxed morning open mat before everyone starts heading home.

V1 is about putting good people in the same room and asking:
How can we help each other get better?
Because stronger owners build stronger coaches.
Stronger coaches build stronger students.
And stronger academies help grow jiu-jitsu as a whole.

COST TO ATTEND
$0.
There is no attendance fee for V1.
Attendees are responsible for their own travel, lodging, meals and other expenses.
We want the barrier to getting into the room to be as small as possible.

We're intentionally keeping V1 focused enough that owners can actually have conversations with each other instead of getting lost in a crowd.
And the interest we've already received has come from well beyond the Texas Panhandle, with academy owners from multiple states expressing interest in making the trip.
This is V1 for a reason.
We're building the first one.
We're going to learn from it.
And we're going to see what this can become.
