I’m excited to share that IRB has been approved and I can officially start recruiting participants for my doctoral research study.

👕I am seeking current and former BLACK FASHION STUDENTS for my doctoral research study 👗

The study will explore the experiences of Black undergraduate fashion students in the United States. It will focus on academic achievements, career success, and influences on self-confidence.

Never in my 10 years in higher education have I cried over a student until now.

I’m not sure if it’s because I was her professor or if I’m just getting old.

2 years is not long enough.

She had one goal, “get into a school in the city “ and SHE DID IT!

I started a modeling team in college, , that set the baseline for everything I did in my career afterwards. My career in higher education, opening unLESHed, Curve Cultivation, and KCPW were all extensions of what we did 15 years ago!

This fall, F.A.M.E Alumni are coming together at homecoming to give away 3-$500 scholarships to Black creatives at the University of Central Missouri.

I hope you enjoyed V-Day w/ the ones that love you.

I spent Valentine’s Day doing what I love - developing students!

The Herkimer College Fashion crew spread love all over campus while learning how to network and market. Students passed out candy and V-Day cards to promote the program, our social media, and all of the cool things we are doing this semester. Not only were they able to work on their skills we also brought so much joy and happiness to staff/students who may not have felt the Valentine spirit.

I was completely drained by the end of the day but so fulfilled at the same time.
