Hi Friends. I have exciting news and news that I’ve had mixed feelings about for awhile but it’s absolutely for the best. Splentique will be a 100% online e-commerce business aside from our pop ups, which we will host more frequently. Our last day in store was 12/30/22. I’ve been considering this for awhile now and finally made a decision. I didn’t want to post prior to that because honestly I was still processing the decision. This will be better for us as we offer a wider breath of products and focus on our private label collection without the overhead and considerable time investment that a store front requires. Especially in the uncertainty of a post Covid market.
For many of you, you know many parts of my story. I’ve had some amazing experiences and I’ve also faced some struggles, as all businesses do. The moves to larger spaces, the growth online during Covid and the hardships with in store water damage and moving spaces. I was trending to hit my 7 year top line sales plan in the first two years of business. We’ve been blessed with awards, community recognition and all the love, friendships and kindness anyone could ask for. We persevered through many challenges but the story I didn’t tell was the most important one; Family. I’m very open with you all as we have become friends but I’m also very private by nature.
Many of you know our little Gavin or have seen him in my posts. Gary and I have been blessed with an amazing little boy who is brilliant and perfect for us. He has been able to read and write and do simple math from a very early age (18 months) but his receptive and expressive language skills have taken some time to develop. He has also been faced with more sickness than any child ever should. Since 2019 we have seen an immunologist, multiple doctors and therapists and our beautiful boy continues to grow and make miraculous strides forward but these next few years are critical for him. As a parent I’ve taken some of the smallest things for granted with my oldest child. First words are great but the ones that come after must be cherished equally. Those milestones didn’t happen so quickly for Gavin. I have praised God as Gavin has said Mommy, given me a hug, spoken and asked for what he needs. Our children’s milestones are to be cherished because they are absolutely not guaranteed. We have waited patiently as Gavin has arrived at his in his own time.
Gary and I have decided that it’s time for me to move the business online and take anytime that was dedicated to a storefront to the continued development of our sweet son. During Covid, Gavin went with me everywhere. He packed orders, sang and played and did so much with me that having a store open to the public doesn’t allow for. I started this business when he was 3 months old as a way to not travel in my corporate role and to be with him more. I’ve taken on a new role to make sure he has the best medical care that sometimes being self employed doesn’t allow for. I will continue to move him and his needs to the front of what I do and I hope you will continue to support my small business while I live my dream of being a mom to the most special and precious boy that anyone could ever hope to call their own. I am thankful for this opportunity to grow our online business to a whole new level with my little guy by my side.
Download our Splentique app on android or apple if you would like to receive notifications when we begin posting new products on Jan 15th. I’m taking a few weeks to catch my breath.
I love you all, truly.
Thank you,
Regina
PS…you have a gift cards I’m switching those to online gift cards. They don’t expire and they can easily be redeemed at checkout or at pop ups. 🙂
