When the world shut down in 2020, so did airshows.
And for a company built around the airshow community… that could’ve been the end of Blackbird.
At the time, airshows were the heartbeat of the business. No crowds, no events, no flight lines — just uncertainty.
But instead of giving up, we adapted.
We focused on rebuilding the company from the inside out. Tightening operations, investing in new products, improving e-commerce, and preparing for the day aviation events came back.
And when they finally did?
The support from this community was unbelievable.
The years that followed became some of the biggest in Blackbird history.
That experience taught us something important:
If this brand could survive a global shutdown and come back stronger, there’s not much we can’t figure out together.
And honestly, that’s because of all of you who continued supporting Blackbird through it all. ✈️
