Amelia Earhart rocking some boots in Chicago, 1928. Born in Kansas in 1897, Amelia graduated from high school in Chicago at Hyde Park High School in 1916. In 1934 she started her own clothing line to help finance her aviation career. The line was sold at Macy's in New York and Marshall Fields in Chicago. Just three years later, she would disappear forever in the Pacific Ocean, en route to Howland Island on her quest to circumnavigate the globe.
