Little Bean Embroidery is officially closed as an ‘official’ business, but that doesn’t mean creating isn’t a huge part of my life. While life as a full time phlebotomist, wife, and mom keeps me busy… I will always find to CREATE 🖼️ 🎨 🧶 ✍️ 🎶

This December looks a lot different than the past 15 Decembers. Here’s a little LB update 🌟

Dated ornaments. I tried to get them going. My embroidery machine is not a fan of working in the garage (even with a few heaters trying to warm us up). So… no 2024 ornament. BUT I’m hoping for next year (even if that means starting them in the spring)!!!

Quilts. They’re going. Very very slowly. But still going. Again, the machine (me and the sewing one) are not a super fan of working well in the unheated garage temps of Ohio’s winter.

On top of holidays, and birthdays, and full time work, and peak hockey season, and responsibilities, and sleeping, and all the things…

I have managed a few creative moments (on things that can be worked on mostly inside the warm house). So if the letter banners, cards, or star ornaments float your boat… put your requests in (as those are great projects for Christmas movie watching in my PJs, on the couch with the fireplace on) and I’ll craft everyday till bedtime!! 🎅🏼⛄️✂️🧶🛏️

Thank you 💛 This transition has been (still is) really hard for me. I’m doing what I have to do (back to work full time) (and I am liking my new job), however, with that, I’m not doing merely enough of what I love love love.

Realistic, honest LB update here 🌦️

Adjusting to a more traditional 40hr work week is kicking my butt a bit. A huge adjustment for me. (Huge) I thought I’d just come home after an 8 hour work day and sew for a few hours before bed. (That is not happening at the moment)

So… I figured, I’ll just sew on my days off!! On the weekend ☀️ However… we’re in the height of hockey season, so there’s that. Also, when my college kid asks me to visit, that’s what is happening. 💛

Needless to say, I haven’t gotten into any groove (quite yet) with working full time, momming, AND keeping the t-shirt quilts going.

The wait list is growing. While I wish I could estimate timeframes, that’s not something I can pinpoint right now. Just know, it’s a while.

IF all works well, I’ll be working on my current order this weekend 🤞🏼 I may just have jinxed myself, but hopefully not.

It’s officially official.

Our dot com is retired. It’s bittersweet 🥹

Though LB is no longer my full time adventure, I’m still here in a (very) part time capacity. I love creating too much to not do what I do. 🌦️
