Are your pets weird like mine? And this was just yesterday 😂. The red dog, Katie cant be bothered to stand up or even roll over to recieve her cream cheese treat so she just licked it up laying there. And the brown dog, Sandy, fell asleep with his head on the stair and remained in that position for hours 🤷🏻‍♀️ ❤

Here at Lularoe Emily King we believe in giving back… And this post has a sad ending but its one that is near to my heart 💔

From now until the end of October, we are going to be supporting a fellow retailer and friend of mine, Laura. Her family paid the ultimate price in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

We all know that hurricane Helene has caused vast devastation across the southeast particularly in the state of North Carolina. There was no way to be prepared for the devastation that occurred.

My friend Laura's brother, Boone, was brave enough to face the raging Nolichukey River with his dog Moss and girlfriend to attempt to rescue an individual stuck on Bird Bridge who's home had been washed away by the torrential flooding.

Unfortunately even as an experienced boater Boone could not have prepared for the debris and influx of water which caused the boats motor to jam and without power it struck a bridge support and capsized. Only Boone's girlfriend survived.

You guys… Laura spent DAYS looking for Moss and Boone in the flooding aftermath to recover their bodies and bring them to rest. And she has continued to lead efforts to support those who have lost everything.

She has opened her home to those needing a place to stay, to shower, wash clothes, provide food and electricity. Laura is a SINGLE MOM OF FIVE but continues to travel back and forth to support those in need.

I've had the pleasure of knowing her for several years and she always pours her heart into everyone around her.

Her businesses are her sole source of income for her family and we want to take this opportunity to lift her and help as we can. A portion of every item you purchase from me from now til 10/31 will go towards the fundraising efforts and then when its over Lularoe home office will MATCH our donation 😭 ❤
