This weekend reminded us just how lucky we are to be part of this amazing community.
Over the weekend at Back On The Rack, our phone and internet systems went down unexpectedly. Without internet, we couldn’t process credit card transactions, and as a small business, we had a decision to make.
Instead of turning customers away, we chose to trust our community.
We rang up purchases the old-fashioned way, wrote down names, phone numbers, and amounts owed, and sent customers home with their items. Our customers assured us that once our systems were back online and we contacted them, they would take care of their balances.
Today, we’re happy to report that every single customer we contacted has either already paid over the phone or made arrangements to come in and pay in person.
Every. Single. One.
In a world where we often hear stories about the opposite, we wanted to share this one.
Back On The Rack has been serving this community since 2002. We’ve watched families grow, children become parents, and now we’re seeing second generations walk through our doors. This weekend was a powerful reminder that the relationships we’ve built over the years truly matter.
Thank you for proving that honesty, integrity, and community still exist. Thank you for supporting local businesses. Most of all, thank you for keeping your word.
We are incredibly grateful to call this community home.
❤️ With sincere appreciation,
The Back On The Rack Family
