I have absolutely fallen in love with the “Falu Red” homes & barns of Sweden! Falu red comes from the Falun copper mine in central Sweden, which dates back to the 9th century. Wow! The iron ore is dried into a dry pigment and is then ground, and mixed with water, flour and linseed oil to produce the paint. Lucky for you, Sherwin Williams Paints has reproduced the Falu Red color for you! The SW paint swatch sample & color ID number can be found in the last picture.
