Hemming a fully lined trench coat for a client. Marked, cut, serged, pressed and pinned. All that is left is the finishing to set and tag the lining and blind stitch the hem and it will be the perfect length. For a coat of this style shortening a hem and lining costs about $30-35. Other alterations vary in cost depending on the garment, alterations, and complexity.

Been hard at work on a larger project for a client. Replacement cushions for bench seats for a kitchen nook table. The backs are near complete and I will ne working on the zippered seats tomorrow. All of the 24 yards of piping for entire project has been done by me with scraps of fabric client wanted to use. Here is a peek at my work so far.

Beginning of the holiday gifts frenzy. Have to get this warm and toasty blanket off to my eldest child as it seems his furry little girl stole the last one. This is 2.667 yards or about 7 feet by approx 60 inches/5 feet sewn with solid grey and Darth Vadar fleece and top stitched. Should keep him nice and warm.

This is a hat that I purchased. I painted it, added lace trim, fabric sashes and rosettes.

This is my business page. From here I will post information, tips and tricks, and photos of my work. I will start with some photos of a dive weights bag I made as a gift. I took the information of what he needed: water resistant, quick dry, strong, strong handle. This was made with print cotton exterior, rip stop nylon lining, and strong nylon strapping for the handle. Initial feedback was that the bag handled the weight well and easy to transport handle.
