POV: You 10 years ago. 😅
In 2016, we flew six Eden in Love managers to LA for a leadership retreat, which included a surprise day trip to Disneyland! 🥹🙌
And somehow, our greatest takeaway that week came from… Big Thunder Mountain. 😂
We went on that ride SEVEN times, and with each ride we got better and better. Why? We started off nervous, hands on the bars, eyes shut. Then we started screaming with one arm off the bar. Next ride was eyes wide open, cheering… then BOTH HANDS OFF.
Until finally, we were PROS. 🙌😂
Laughing, posing, chee-hooing and getting the next riders pumped to ride the scariest parts eyes open and .
And somewhere along the way, became a literal thing for us.
A reminder to keep our hands up for one another as we rode into our busiest season — to be brave ourselves, but also to cheer on the person next to us until she was brave enough to put her hands up too.
Almost 10 years later, we found these photos in the archives of Red Rover (another So I Had An Idea moment) and 😭😭😭.
The matching black + white outfits. The Minnie ears. The jumping pics. SEVEN TIMES ON THUNDER MOUNTAIN.
But mostly, the reminder still hits: HANDS UP. 🙌 For yourself. For your people.
