Aloha friends,
As you all know I’ve had a pretty rough go the last 12+ months with my health which is the reason why my shop has taken a back seat so, that I could refocus my energy and prioritize my health. Last month, I went through my third surgery and was given positive news that my precancerous cells are gone! However, my health battle has put a lot into perspective for me. One of them amplifying the importance of family and how afraid I was of the possibility of not living long enough to watch my kids grow up or make memories as a family. I am being called to be home and it feels right in my heart. Which is why I’ve made the very bittersweet decision to close The Salty Beach at the end of this year.

I just want to say, thank you all for supporting me throughout the years. Your support has been more to me than just making a sale. It had reignited something in me I thought I lost all those year’s ago as a stay at home mom and I have made so many new friends along the way. For that, I am eternally grateful!

I will be popping up at a few markets until December where you’ll be able to shop all of our merch at a discounted price and I’ll be sure to post the dates for these pop ups in stories and on my feed. The website is closed however, if there’s anything you wanted to order through DM’s I’m happy to ship it to you. Otherwise, I hope to see you soon. 🫶🏼

Hi guys! It’s been a while so, I thought I’d pop on here and post an update. I got engaged during Christmas! (Yay!) It’s no secret that things tend to slow down after the Holidays for retail businesses so, I used this slow season to spend lots of intentional time with my family, sketch some new designs for the shop and plan for this new chapter in my life. I’ve also been dealing with some things going on with my health that I’m not ready to talk about but I will say that the good news is that my Doctors have done their due diligence and I will be getting surgery in May. Anyways, I miss you connecting with you guys and I hope to see you at a pop up soon!

For my island home, Maui.
Nothing has been more beautiful than the community of Maui coming together and communities from other islands and even other states on the continent showing Maui love and support during its darkest time.

I wanted to make a video but every time I try to I can’t stop crying. If you don’t know, I am born and raised on Maui and so damn proud of it. My family and and friends all still live there. To watch all of this devastation unfold from afar is so difficult.

Around this time of year I am usually posting about anniversary sales and promos for the shop but it doesn’t even feel right to do. I just know that I want to help. From now until August 15 100% of online sales will go directly to families affected by the fire.

Many people are trapped on the West side of Maui right now and are in desperate need of food, water and medication for elderly. Though donating toward an organization is great, it will take a while before funds from organizations even get to these families and they need help NOW. Efforts are being made from the community and businesses on Maui to bring food and supplies into the West. If you would like to donate directly to these families I will add links into my stories and save them to my highlights for anyone that would like to offer immediate help.

As women empowerment month comes to a close I just want to encourage all of us to continue to lift each other up in whatever capacity you can. For me, I enjoy making new small business friends + swapping tips/info at pop ups. On Instagram if you’re a small business and “follow” me I will more than likely follow you back no matter what it is you sell. As a fellow small business owner it is the least I can do. I am not concerned with keeping my following count low while trying to grow my social media organically. However, there are times I might miss you if I have a large influx of followers at once. I’ll try to like posts and comment something nice when I can because engagement matters. I have and always will be a hype girl for the people in my personal life and that radiates into my business life as well. I love to see my people win!
