THE WAIT IS OVER - ayceclo.com opens next Monday!

After over a year of designing, stitching, and figuring things out… KimonoWoven: Chapter 1 is finally ready. That means new apparel and the official release of the world’s ONLY Kimono Basketballs.

I’ve had to hit pause a few times these past few months - between work and life, things got a little hectic. But I’m super stoked to finally launch the site and get this first drop out there.

A¥CE has always been about more than clothes - it's about culture, community, and creating space for stories that deserve to be told. I hope you guys will like what we put together!

Last but not least, a HUGE shoutout to .of.thrace for bringing this vision to life with this incredible shoot!

Made with upcycled Kimono garments, every piece tells a story. Woven with intricate details, bold colors, and textures that carry generations of tradition. Each one has its own soul, its own personality. We’re breathing new life into these timeless pieces through upcycling, reimagining their legacy while honoring where they come from. This is more than fashion — it’s storytelling across cultures, building bridges through fabric, history, and heart.

Our mission is simple: to celebrate the beauty of multiculturalism and its power to bring people together.

Our work reflects the syncretism of voices, roots, identities, and ideologies shaped by the stories and experiences of people we’ve encountered along the way. On a wider scale, this blending forms the foundation of what we call 'culture', an amorphous and ever-evolving phenomenon that lies at the heart of communities and identities.

Over the years, we have shared stories from friends and family, exploring their unique and multifaceted experiences. Through these narratives, we have learned that hearing the journeys of others can profoundly shape our own understanding, helping us find connection, validation, and a sense of belonging.

As if by fate, our work on the Kimono Basketball led us to a transformative, community-centered organization at the heart of San Francisco’s Chinatown. This organization is home not only to a picturesque basketball court—featured in numerous movies, commercials, and music videos—but also to a family care program that has made an immeasurable impact on its community for generations.

We are deeply grateful and excited to share this project with you—a reflection of our vision to celebrate diversity and build bridges through meaningful storytelling.

The Kimono Basketball is the manifestation of this unconventional harmony, a fragment of a greater story that continues to write itself. In this way, it only seems fitting to call this—KimonoWoven: Chapter 1.

“Growing up as a Thai American playing sports, a lot of people doubted my skills and talents. Instead of using it as a negative, I tried to use it as a positive and try and play even harder to prove that Asians can compete in sports just like everyone else. Instead of shying away from being an Asian American athlete, it’s something that I embrace to hopefully give others Asians athletes a chance to also go out and prove their worth in life and sports.”

So stoked to see hit the court this year as he begins his college ball journey, representing A¥CE in a sport so pervasive in Asian communities around the world. 🔨🔨🔨
