You read that right. I hear it all the time from other small business owners saying they want to retire their spouse… not me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

And no, that doesn’t make me mean.

Here’s my take:

My husband has zero desire to pour candles… and honestly? That’s okay. 😂

This is MY business. He doesn’t ask me to show up to the military and do his job, so why would I expect him to run mine?

But most importantly, he genuinely loves what he does and he could have retired himself two years ago if he wanted to.

And if “retiring your spouse” just means having them home every single day… I’m not even sure he’d enjoy that anyway. 😂 We both like staying busy, having our own goals, and doing work we actually enjoy.

We’re a team. That means supporting each other’s passions, goals, and independence — not forcing each other into roles that don’t fit.

I built this business because I love it. The late nights, the creativity, the chaos, the candle pours, the packaging… all of it.

And honestly, there’s something really empowering about having your own thing while still building a life together. We crush our goals together and celebrate when we win.

She’s the girl that walks by and suddenly you’re questioning every perfume you own? Yeah… she smells like this. ✨

Fresh pink grapefruit and lemon zest hit first — crisp, clean, expensive. Then soft peony and rose petals keep it pretty without trying too hard. The white musk and soft cedar? That’s the part that lingers on hoodies, car seats, and in your head all day.

It’s giving clean girl with better taste.
Not too sweet.
Not too floral.
Just ridiculously fresh, feminine, and addicting.

Moving taught me something I wasn’t prepared for: starting over can make you question everything you already built.

For 4 years, I knew my people. I knew what scents they loved, what products sold out first, what felt familiar. Now I’m in a new place, learning a whole new crowd, and honestly… some days it feels like I’m back at square one.

Imposter syndrome has a way of making growth feel like failure. Like if you don’t immediately know the answers, maybe you were never good at it to begin with. But I’m learning that being uncomfortable doesn’t mean you’re incapable — it usually means you’re growing into something bigger.

So if you’re in a season where everything feels unfamiliar, where confidence feels shaky, and you’re figuring it out as you go… you’re not alone. Starting over doesn’t erase the years you spent building yourself. Those years still matter. They’re still in you. 🤍
