I remember walking into a surf shop to buy my son new boardshorts and being shocked that it was $65!

Besides the fact that I knew he’d grow out of it someday, I also knew that keiki clothes have a harder time lasting because of all the wear and tear. This didn’t seem affordable for families, especially with mulitple kids.

This moment was one of the big ones in deciding to create REIGN + Skye. If I could make cute, natural fiber, well fitting, and long lasting swimwear and apparel for kids, then I just needed to make sure our local families could comfortably afford it.

The discussion around natural fibers for our clothing has become more and more popular, and as a mom of two, the first thing I think of is my kids.

When crafting keiki wear, one of my top priorities was to see if we could make clothes with natural and healthy fabrics while still keeping the cost for families down.

And we did it! Our apparel is either 100% bamboo or 100% cotton, which just the exception of the swimwear.

It’s important to us that what we provide our keiki supports their health and growth, and the fact that we can offer that to other parents and keiki as well has been such a blessing to us!

It’s everything we’ve all talked about wanting... so I made it for them and for you.

Have you also been out to the surf shops or department stores, looking for something that feels like home but then you see it’s $75?
Maybe, until now, you didn’t realize it doesn’t have to cost that much, AND you don’t have to sacrifice the quality of the materials either.

We’re moving into a time where locals are taking things into their own hands, and that’s what we’ve done! Designing and creating a brand for our keiki that give everything we were looking for at a price that let’s us continue to treat them after the shopping day has ended.

It started with the dream of an O’ahu mom and has expanded into reality.

Anthuria isn’t just a print, it’s a piece of island history 🌺

The anthurium flower made its way to Hawaiʻi over a century ago and by the 1940s, local growers had turned it into something entirely their own, breeding new colors and shapes you won’t find anywhere else in the world. That same spirit of making something beautifully local lives in every Anthuria piece, sized for your littlest keiki all the way up to your tween.

We know the drill: they grow out of everything in six months anyway, so the least the clothes can do is survive the wear and tear until then. That’s why every REIGN + Skye piece is built with thicker, tested fabric that holds up through sand, sun, and everything in between.

Less replacing, more actually living in it.
