We are just 2 days away from our BIRTHDAY BLOCK PARTY and we have a little surprise to share! 🪩🥳

This Friday, June 12th, the entire store is 20% off all day long from 10am - 6pm. AND the first 50 customers who make a purchase of $20 or more will receive a limited edition commemorative “Cheers to 20 Years” Duck bag!

We could not have made it to 20 years without this community, our cherished customers, and every single Duckling (our fantastic staff members) who have been part of Duck World along the way. We are overwhelmed with gratitude.

The party rolls into the evening with $2 scoops at starting at 6pm, Tony Smiley looping dance music out front from 7-9, and the after party at with DJ Mexi spinning from 8pm on.

Summer is HERE! This is what we’re loving:

1. Bold, Vibrant Colors
Neutrals have dominated the fashion scene for a while, but color is having its moment! Our favorite take on this trend: a bright shoe paired with an otherwise simple outfit.

2. Modern Bohemian
Effortless silhouettes that move with the body, yes please. Linen, cotton, crochet, and gauze pieces are in (and perfect for Gorge summer)!

3. Polished Denim
We’re seeing a switch towards cleaner, more tailored denim this season. Clean washes, floor skimming lengths, and well-fitted waists are setting the tone for summer.

4. Shoulder Moment
Off the shoulder tunics and asymmetrical necklines are huge this season. How we’re wearing this trend: A simple off the shoulder blouse paired with jeans and statement necklace. Effortlessly elevated!

5. Romantic, Feminine Dressing
Delicate lace, ruffled hems, eyelet fabrics, and airy prints are the vibe. We’re leaning into all things sweet and soft this season!

It’s a big day for our very own .sullivann! Happy graduation!! 🎓🎉

Having Serena on our team these past few years has been such a joy. When she first started at The Ruddy Duck she worked the sales floor, serving customers and keeping the store looking beautiful. From there she transitioned upstairs to our office where she learned the ins and outs of product receiving. Serena is the one responsible for unboxing, hanging, steaming, and tagging each and every piece you see on the floor downstairs. To say we’re grateful for our little worker bee is an understatement!

Besides being an absolute weapon with the steamer, Serena has an incredible work ethic and is a 10/10 human. Her smile is contagious, her energy is infectious, and we cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes her. We are so incredibly proud ❤️

To all the Hood River grads, we see you! Happy graduation day, you did it!

Our Mama Duck had a birthday this week and we just had to take a moment to celebrate her 🎂🦆

This gal is a huge reason why we love what we do so much. She brings the party every day, inspires us to do our best, and she truly is the heart and soul of this place, (along with you all, our lovely shoppers)! We’re so grateful for our ❤️

You are invited to our BLOCK PARTY, Friday June 12th! 🩷

Mike’s Ice Cream turns 40 this summer (established in 1986)! The Ruddy Duck turns 20, and Common House is celebrating 5 years on the corner! Three businesses, three milestones, one very big party!

Here’s the lineup:

All day 10am - 6pm: 20% off everything at 🦆🛍️

5:00pm: will be serving $2.00 scoops until close 🍦🍨

7:00pm: will be looping beats and bringing the dance party (think old school Music Mondays) 💃🏼🎶

After party: The DJ’d fun rolls into 🍻🕺🏽

We are so grateful to this community for all the decades of support. What an honor it is to call this 5th and Oak Street corner home, and what a joy to share it with generations of ice cream lovers, shoppers and bottle shop regulars. We cannot wait to see you at the party!
