This is why I love the Homefront Treasure Trove! It’s not just home goods and furniture. People donate all kinds of fine goods. Like this delicious coat whose label says it’s a London Fog. But it’s styled like a traditional Indian Sherwani. I put it on and bought it before it even had been priced! Wore it to a dinner party last night. Rave reviews! Excited that one of my Fastenatures has been chosen for the West Windsor Arts Council 'Artists for Ukraine' show opening Nov. 1st. Thanks so much to the amazing Madelaine Shellaby for asking me to join the group! My piece, "For Ukraine" was born a couple of days after the Russian invasion.... starting with the milk-weed pods I painted blue and gold. It's grown turkey wing lichen 'brooches' reminiscent of the sentimental jewelry some Babushkas wear on their warm woolen coats. And sprouted feathers from my late rooster Harvey, who lost his life bravely defending his hens from attack by a red-tail hawk. The hawk won, but not before Harvey snatched a swath of flesh and feathers from the invader. Blahoslovy Bozhe Ukrayinu!

It's been a couple of weeks since the Hopewell Tour des Arts open studio weekend. Whew! I've just caught up with the orders for Sosa Crowns! Thanks to those discerning fashionistas who chose the perfect combination of Armando's textiles and luxury faux fur! Enjoy your warm ears this winter!

Thanks to everyone who visited our Armando Sosa/Emily's Millinery Marvels Open Studio Event last Saturday. It was a huge success! Friends showed enormous support and Armando sold 2 of his amazing tapestries. E'sMMs sold 5 Crowns plus one Fastenatural, which wasn't even really for sale, just for show! It was fun and flirty... Shout out to Kim Kim Chase Galatro, Erica Ellis Disch,Ferris Olin, Bob Heil, Enrique Curchitser Michael Gray, Victory Chase, and all the other folks who visited and bought or promised to buy in the future. Let me know if you would like to arrange in private showing!
