Went to one of my favorite places today! Love spending time with the residents at Gracious Living. I wish I got more pictures, but they kept me busy today. We did all kinds of crafting. Most of the time, they don’t remember my name. That’s quite all right. It’s not me I want them to remember. I go there to be a small blessing, but they end up being a huge blessing to me! I love each and everyone and so does Crossroads Baptist Church.

Can you guess what place I got in my age group? I got a time of 26:01. The incline just about killed me at mile two. The winner of the race was a 14 year old boy with a time of 18:07. 😳

My kids made me trophies and got me some treats! Although at the last stretch of the race, I heard my daughter yell, “Come on slow poke!” My son’s encouraging words were, “I definitely could have beat you!” Haha 😂

It’s race day! Let’s do this. I have Forrest Gump and lady in a dinosaur costume next me…..I’m doomed!

It was another field trip! Do I have a new fear? Those ostriches are now on my list of fears along with spiders! Was there some blood shed…..yes! They get easily confused with fingers and food. Did I put on a brave face for kids….no not really! We had a blast though.

Two of my favorite things: vintage Disney books and vintage recipes. The books are done and are great for Disney trips to collect signatures….great gift ideas for anyone you know going to Disney!

I don’t know what it is about the vintage recipes, but they bring a smile to my face. I mean look at all the different papers used. Look at the handwriting and old recipe boxes. Let’s not forget that coupon either!! I’m currently finishing up a junk journal that will include a lot of vintage recipes, coupons, and ads.

Went to see my niece’s last game. She got to play and did amazing. As a huge volleyball fan, former player, and former coach, I was so proud. Was yesterday my anniversary…..yes. Did I leave Drew at home by himself for dinner….yes. Did I leave him with homemade sausage balls….yes. So he was just fine. Although my niece’s first question was, “Where is Uncle Drew?” 🤨 uh who cares! Your cool aunt is here to watch you! Haha

Well I wasn’t going to post it, but I got a request to see my board. It’s not my finest work, but it’s chalk. Chalk is not perfect and neither am I! I have tried the chalk markers….that did not go well! I love doing it, but I do it mostly for my kids. I see all the mistakes, but as soon as I was finished my daughter said, “How do you do so good, Mommy!?” Im not going to lie….my head grew a little bit. No, I don’t think I did good, but I sure do love to hear words like that from her!

Craft time with the residents at the nursing home! They loved making some fall door hangers! I think I got five hugs just from one lady. She kept telling me how much she loved me. I haven’t been feeling the best, and this made my day. I also brought them some cookies today. Were some trying to take extra…..yes! Did I let them take as many as they wanted….of course!

Thanks to the ladies who helped today from Crossroads Baptist Church!
