Coming Soon……..Fall and Winter Candles!

I am so very excited and couldn’t wait to share the news. I spent the morning with Lisa and Megan, the owners of Ouachita Wax and Naturals, collaborating on candles for this season. And, we are changing things up! I’m in my William Morris inspired era. I think because we are surrounded by beautiful woodlands and nature, and my newfound love of tropical houseplants. I shared my vision and earthy scents I had in mind, and they came up with the perfect vessels, labeling, scents and packaging.

It’s such an honor to collaborate again with these talented women. Please check out their candle and gift store located at 118 Central Avenue, Suite B, in downtown Hot Springs AR. I promise, you won’t leave empty handed!

Pumpkin Spice Latte……. Goat milk soap is here! It means Fall is right around the corner. I just picked up a goat milk soap order and Dawn at Swinging K Family Farm picked out some great fall scents for you. You can go through the pedestal sink of all the scents, and you can also find the soap and lotion on our cool 1930’s art deco vanity.

I’ve been really inspired by all the beautiful trees and wildlife in our beautiful little city so we have a William Morris look going on in the shop.

We are open 10 to 5 today - we would love to have you stop in to see what is new in the store! Come get your soap on!!

National Dog Day Alert!!!!! Here are a few pics of dogs we have loved and dogs we still love - our family dogs, kids and grandkids dogs, and the famous Mr. Ollie. I’m missing photos of Bart and Chloe - we loved you too!

Great tips from Brittany!

Look at those leaves! 🌿✨

​Our Philodendron billietiae is showing off, and we can’t get enough of those long, strap-shaped leaves and bright orange petioles. If you’re looking to get the absolute biggest, happiest leaves out of your Billie, here are a few quick care tips from Two

Sprouts Plant Shop:

​✨ Give It Something to Climb: Billietiae are hemiepiphytes that love to climb. Giving them a sturdy wood plank or moss pole encourages larger, more mature leaf sizing and keeps those long petioles supported.

​☀️ Bright, Indirect Light: They thrive under bright light! The more bright, indirect light (or quality grow light) they get, the richer the orange color on those stems will be.

​🪴 Chunky, Well-Draining Soil: Keep their roots happy with an aroid mix that drains fast—think orchid bark, perlite, and charcoal mixed with coarse potting soil. Let the top few inches dry out between waterings.

Can’t make it to Plantmania today in Little Rock and in the Hot Springs area??? Then come on by our little plant shop inside The Vintage Cottage. We have beautiful cultivated tropical and rare houseplants lovingly grown by Two Sprouts Plant Shop. We are located at 303 Albert Pike Road and open today until 5.

Friday Update…… Our little shop looks amazing!!! We have worked all week bringing in beautiful houseplants, art, pillows, and lots of vintage finds. I’m in love with my new location - it’s full of unique shops, great music (you just have to sing along while shopping!), wonderful creative and friendly owners, and the best shoppers! I walk in the door and my soul is happy. And so are the thriving houseplants by Two Sprouts Plant Shop.

I just loaded in these plants - all locally grown in Brittany’s home nursery right here in Hot Springs!

NEW PLANTS..,..,…

Brittany of Two Sprouts Plant Shop delivered 20 new plants today! I’ll get them potted up this weekend and they will be in the shop next Tuesday. I say this every time she brings me new plants grown from her home nursery right here in Hot Springs AR, “These plants are gorgeous!”

Enjoy the sneak peak and I’ll get individual pics, names, and care instructions posted before I load them in on Tuesday.

Our plants are looking so good! It’s a wonderful day to stay out of the heat and do a little indoor houseplant shopping in the air conditioning!

“Plants give us oxygen for the lungs and for the soul.” - Terri Guillemets

There is something magical about planting a propagated houseplant that Brittany of Two Sprouts Plant Shop has lovingly grown in her home-based nursery. I love sourcing the container, mixing up the special soil and marveling at the result. And then I get to care and watch them grow and put on new leaves until they go to their new home.

I brought in six more plants yesterday and Brittany is working on an order that I will pick up next week! Today is a good day to stop in and get some oxygen for your soul!

We are located at 303 Albert Pike Rd., Hot Springs AR and open 10 to 5 Tuesday to Saturday.
