SHOP UPDATE 🌸🌿🌼🍀🌻We’ve always been committed to body and gender inclusivity as a business. This year we took steps to be more supportive of our environment as well!
We have filled our empty garden beds with all native, organic, pesticide-free, pollinator-supporting plants.
Flowers, mosses, vines, and “weeds” now happily grow and will continue to do so! We even managed to start some pumpkins! So we will see how those turn out ☺️
We also went the next step and integrated the lawn with other native ground-covering plants. It is now a thriving polyculture. With insects, birds, and mammals enjoying its lushness as well.
Since we made these changes we have seen so many butterflies, moths, bees, birds, squirrels, and more animals of all shapes and sizes! 🦋🐝🐦⬛🐞🪲🐛🐿️🦝
Our water usage has reduced significantly, since the plants are now established and are perfectly adapted to the weather and climate here in the Houston Texas Gulf Coast region.
The lawn also will require much less water usage, as the plants that have been integrated are all more adapted to the conditions here than just regular invasive lawn grasses.
