Today, my daughter-in-law Stephanie and I spent a lot of time getting ready for The Speckled Hen Market that takes place this Saturday, September 30th on Cedar Lake road, here in Howell. This is just a very small portion of the vintage and antique items that we will have there. Firemen in Williamston are stating confirmed tornado on the scanner. Power lines are down causing gas lines to vibrate. Roll over accidents in the freeway. Sixteen people trapped in a nursing home with a collapsed roof. Firemen are on foot because trees are blocking roads. 111 MPH winds were reported. We hit the basement on a run. Our trees here were swirling. Powers been out since 9:40. 😔
This has been a very, very strange summer.
It's weird cuz it just got hotter and hotter and hotter and hotter and then the storm hit. Now it feels 25° cooler.

"Thanks everyone for helping me get Moss home and helping Moss get more time to enjoy life. He does have a fast spreading cancer but as of now, he is very happy and looking good. I'll be taking him up to Oscoda Sept 1-4 to run the trails at least one more time and enjoy some camping, fishing and a little adventure."

After Larry jr's 5k fundraiser for Mott families, which was so amazing and wonderful, I think we just sorta crashed. Me...tired. Larry Jr....tired and body pains. Big Larry...felt the worst. Only to find his liver has been acting up again. He really pushes himself and ignores his signs. At U of M now for an MRICP to see how things are in there. It's weird being at the hospital, especially at night. Many nights here. For both Larry big and Larry little. Walking halls. Pulling Larry Jr in the wagon. Walking and walking and walking. I know it's been hundreds and hundreds of nights here with those two. Not exaggerating even a tiny bit. It's not a bad feeling. Both Larry Senior and I have said we actually feel kind of safe when we're here. Like we know everything is going to be safe and taken care of. Anyway, waiting in my hubby, as I have before for both Larry's, and will always do for them, and hoping and praying it's just a flare up and he's okay.

Thank you to everyone for prayers, and for helping Mike and Moss through the GoFundMe, that our daughter Katie set up. And also other donations that our children....Mike's brothers and sisters, and coworkers and friends helped Mike out with. The goal has been met so Katie shut it down today. This is going to help Mike with the vet bill, the hospital surgery and medication, follow-ups and his missed days of work. He has to wait 7 days for the biopsy results of Moss' mass that was on his spleen. His liver looks much better than they saw in the scan. So now he waits. He's so happy to have him back home. They just arrived home about 7 pm. Mike doesn't have social media and wanted to say thank you to everyone from him. Couple of good boys, Moss and Mike. Buddies forever.

Today was a beautiful day and we are so grateful to everyone who was able to come and who ran virtually! Larry's first 5k with the Arc was a huge success! Thank you for the donations, sponsors, volunteers, Pinckney! I will post more photos soon. So very tired! Today was the very best! We are beyond grateful!
