Time for an update with some new photos
Monika is one of our two smaller bags, made of black walnut with the deco un-lacquered brass closure.
We plan to produce her with a long cord strap as well as a clutch version.

Women we Love- Hillary Baack
Mother, Actor, Writer, Advocate and my friend!

She is a fierce advocate as an actor with disabilities and soon will make her debut as a director of a project she holds very close to her heart as a deaf and disabled woman herself- the lesser known life of Helen Keller.
Here are a few images of Hillary at the premiere of her latest film, “Close to You” - directed by Dominic Savage where she stars alongside Elliot Page. We are so honored that she chose to debut our Monika clutch for the event!

Truth seeker. Artist. Humanitarian.
You inspired me to love fashion, push boundaries, push myself and your clothes…they were magic! You celebrated the female form like no other. I’ll never forget having the opportunity to wear one of your impeccable corseted gowns- you made mountains out of my mole hills and I spent the night feeling like I was in the most incredible Vivienne Westwood hug.
Rest In Peace Dame Vivienne.

Vivienne Westwood died today, peacefully and surrounded by her family, in Clapham, South London.

Vivienne continued to do the things she loved, up until the last moment, designing, working on her art, writing her book, and changing the world for the better. She led an amazing life. Her innovation and impact over the last 60 years has been immense and will continue into the future.

Vivienne considered herself a Taoist. She wrote, “Tao spiritual system. There was never more need for the Tao today. Tao gives you a feeling that you belong to the cosmos and gives purpose to your life; it gives you such a sense of identity and strength to know you’re living the life you can live and therefore ought to be living: make full use of your character and full use of your life on earth.”

The world needs people like Vivienne to make a change for the better.

We’re still here! Getting a little closer every day. This was taken last night, very late last night - triple checking all of our measurements before we send our files off to the caster for the final (fingers crossed) brass samples! Everything has to be just right. This time we perfected our screw hole placement and size. There is an unbelievable amount of thought and detail that goes into every single element of these bags! I promise these are going to be soooooo good! I promise they are going to be soooo special! Sometimes I think I need to write this down more for myself than for anyone else! A personal mantra of sorts. Thank you for following along in this journey to making these bags come to life!♥️

“Woodstock is the biggest mass of people gathered together for anything other than war”—John Lennon

Today marks the 53 red anniversary of the 1969 Woodstock Festival. Over half a million people made the journey to the 600 Acre farm in Upstate New York. It was a movement in protest and peace during the Vietnam War.

Here is my favorite photo from Woodstock and it happens to feature my father. He was a conscientious objector and was a student of transcendental meditation which he was introduced to by his college friend Andy Kaufman.
