Every quilt carries a story that only the quilt maker truly knows. Each fabric choice, every stitch, and every late night spent sewing holds a memory — where the fabric was found, who the quilt was made for, or the season of life being lived while it came together.

By the time a quilt is finished, it has become so much more than fabric and thread. It becomes a quiet piece of someone’s heart and life stitched together into something lasting. To others, it may simply look like a beautiful quilt, but to the maker, it holds moments, memories, love, and pieces of their journey that words could never fully explain.

This quilt is a beautiful reminder that every quilt truly has a story.
A friend’s mother began piecing this quilt after losing her husband. It was the first quilt she started during such a difficult season of life. I was honored to finish the piecing and complete the quilting for her.

Stories like this are exactly why I quilt. Quilts are so much more than fabric and thread — they hold pieces of our lives and stories that deserve to be remembered.

There’s just something special about watching someone finish their very first quilt
Seeing the excitement on their face, knowing all the time, effort, and love they poured into every stitch—it never gets old. And when that quilt is made for someone they love? That makes it even more meaningful.
The pride, the accomplishment, and the joy of getting ready to gift it… it truly makes my heart happy every single time.

Feeling incredibly honored and grateful! My quilt was entered in the Sauder Village Quilt Show and received 3rd place in the large pieced quilt class. Quilting takes so much time, patience, and love, so it’s always special to see that work recognized. I’m thankful for the opportunity to share my creativity alongside so many talented quilters. A big congratulations to everyone who participated — the talent on display was amazing!

Today’s bus trip definitely turned into an adventure! While the day didn’t go exactly as planned, we still had a lot of fun and made the best of every moment. Getting stranded along the interstate due to bus issues wasn’t ideal, but it reminded me just how fortunate I am to be surrounded by such amazing people.

I am beyond thankful for everyone who stepped in to help rescue us and make sure we all made it home safely. Days like today are a reminder that it’s not about perfect plans — it’s about the people you share the journey with. I can’t express enough gratitude for my people and the kindness shown today.

There’s a lot happening around here this spring! 🌱

If you’ve been following along, you know the farm is full of activity right now. Be sure to check out our farm page to see all the new baby calves arriving — it’s one of our favorite seasons of the year!

Here at Cow Pasture Creations, we’ve also been busy getting ready for flower season. The flower season is coming to life with plants started from seed and dahlia tubers waking up from their winter rest.

Dahlia tubers are underground storage roots that allow the plant to survive through winter. After being dug in the fall and stored properly, they can be replanted year after year. Once temperatures warm and moisture returns, the “eyes” on the tubers begin to sprout new growth — giving us fresh plants from last year’s favorites.

From tiny seedlings to strong shoots emerging from tubers, it’s exciting to watch the growing season begin again. 🌸

Stay tuned — there’s lots more to come this spring at Cow Pasture Creations!

🐄✨ It’s that time of year… BABY CALVES are arriving! ✨🐄

With new life on the farm comes a little mischief too 😄 These newborn calves are sneaky little things and have a habit of slipping under our (very hot!) fence that keeps the cows where they belong.

So if you happen to be driving by and notice a calf on its own or not with the herd — don’t panic, but please let us know! We’d much rather check on them than have them wandering too far.

We truly enjoy visiting with people and talking cows, so don’t be shy — we won’t bite! 😊

If you don’t see anyone around, feel free to stop by the big red barn — our phone numbers are posted there for easy contact.

Thanks for helping us keep an eye on our herd and our newest little arrivals! 🐮💛
