Rest in Peace Tim Curry, One of the earliest champions of punk rock and an icon of the underground - unlikely to be topped. This man’s Rocky Horror musical numbers are performed live, on film, on audio, and now ai on a never ending basis at midnight every weekend AROUND THE WORLD. He crushed it in Clue. There’s almost nothing funnier. He steals the show in home alone 2 and It . My favorite performance of his is in Congo as Herkmer Homolka. Genius level character development with the sesame cake. From what I’ve heard from friends, he was really friendly and generous with his time for his fans.

Rest in Peace Dolly Parton, the queen of kindness. A one of a kind beautiful soul. This woman created an enterprise out of country music bigger than anything anyone had dreamed. Her longevity across multiple generations was not limited to her immense talent, but also her spirit - which was a beam of shining light. In my early years I was admittedly not a fan. She was so overtly sexualized when I was young, than it overshadowed her music and her movies weren’t my type —- Although I think the Lily Tomlin “Snow White fantasy”from 9 to 5 is actually brilliant. Anyways, she’s a legend. She wrote both “Jolene” and “I will always love you”. You cannot attend a karaoke event worldwide without someone choosing a song from her endless catalog. Her generosity with giving back to her community should remain a benchmark for celebrities. There has never been a single person in entertainment history, with maybe the exception of Walt Disney, who has created so many lasting jobs for the people they were raised alongside. $600,000,000 - that’s SIX HUNDRED MILLION - that’s what she gave back. I hope she is continued to be remembered for her kindness and generosity and not just her music and looks.

This piece belonged to a radio station dj who hoarded a lot of the giveaway merch, inadvertently creating an archive of dead stock Roxk n Roll Grails.
