Introducing: THE REEL WEST

A hat line inspired by the silent age and early western film. Each hat is designed to pay homage to legends like Buck Jones, Tom Mix, Tim McCoy, and William S. Hart.

Bigger hats are back and so are the vintage styles. Most crowns are 7” or even bigger! With brims up to as wide as 7-8”, but can be built to whatever you like. These are great for reenactors, SASS shooters, or those who have been on the hunt for those bigger styles that are getting harder to find.

The first hat up is “The Reel McCoy”, in the color pecan. And more will be introduced soon, so stay tuned!

Those that know me, know that I love supporting small businesses… even if it does take a little more arm nudging for me to do it for mine.

I’ve been on the hunt for a leather maker for some time to collaborate with. I know basic leather work and have done simplistic hat bands for my business and personal projects, but I wanted to step up to something more. I just didn’t honestly think it would be in my back yard.

Stephen and Samantha at Misty Vale Leather are excellent at what they do. True artists. I was gifted one of their “Blackwater” note carriers, and I use it daily. I also have one of their belts and it’s truly one of the best made belts I’ve worn in recent years. If you’re in the market for some handcrafted leather goods, seriously give them a shout!

So, we are announcing the “Misty Vale” collection of handcrafted artisan leather hat bands, sold exclusively through Landers Hatworks.

Cannot wait to show off all the cool designs we’ve been cooking up! Hand made, hand finished, hand dyed. Made in the Appalachian mountains, mom and pop style… need I say more?

Double trouble, again? Yeah!

These two pure beavers, granite and wh***ey, are on their way to Oklahoma.

Both shaped in a sloped cattleman and a 4 1/4” shovel brim. Finished off with a complimentary horsehair hat band.

Can’t decide? Why not both?

A case of double trouble heading to California.

Two stunning pure beaver hats, pecan and silverbelly, both with 7” crowns and shipped open/flat for the customer to shape himself.

The pecan is finished with a bound 4” brim and matching 3-ply band, and the silverbelly has a raw edge 4 1/4” brim and on-tone ribbon. Turned out spectacular.
