Heya, vintage clothing lovers and KRags supporters! Just a kindly reminder that Karma Rags closed earlier this year [I retired]! BUT WAIT! There's more vintage to be had in our little 'burb!!! You can find exciting and fun casual vintage at the Curated Closet at Lowe Mill, also modern 2nd hand formalwear and labeled 2nd hand casual wear at Off The Rack Boutique in south Huntsville and a super solid selection of premium and casual vintage on the 3rd floor of Railroad Station Antiques in downtown Huntsville. I strongly encourage you to check them all out and find something just right for you!

It's been a couple of weeks now since KRags closed...we moved the few remaining fixtures and personal items back to our workroom for the month of February so I can sort and distribute things. The orange wall came down earlier this week as the next person to grace that space gets ready to reno, move in and make a difference! It's funny, I don't feel weird about it at all. I feel thankful about it. It's been remarkable to hear so many people talk in such wonderful ways about KRags! And the FlyMo fam has been so easy to work with while I'm transitioning to full retirement! I'll let you know about retail vintage places in the area as I hear about them and go review them. In the meanwhile, check out booth 261 at Railroad Station Antiques in the very near future as they gear up for an expansion! And if you're looking for really nice formals at exceptional prices for an event, go check out Off The Rack Boutique on Pratt in the Savannah Crossing building...it's the one on stilts! Love, Cheryl

My family and I went in today to move some of the remaining items into the KRags storage. The shop is essentially empty of stuff, but it sure is full of good feelz! I realize a lot of things came together over the past few months to create a successful liquidation. I took my friend, Ann Sue's, approach and decided to end on a note of generosity with free days. I worked hard to not be so controlling and allow my daughter, Rainbow, to manage and execute the liquidation and she did so much more than I could have ever imagined - she blows me away! My partner, Tom, has been super supportive throughout the whole life span of KRags, and has always been willing to jump in and help! And all of you...you have made an incredible impression on my life and I thank you!

Hey, everyone! Thanks for a wonderful last week at KRags! I intend to keep this page up a while longer so I can point you in the direction of other local places to find vintage clothing. I also invite you to post your favorite places you've found for vintage clothing, either stand alone shops or antique mall booths! We can also talk favorite thrift shops and mention estate sales! I like locally run thrifts myself, the ones where the revenues stay in our community and even the very small ones, the hole-in-the-wall resale shops, where someone is trying to make a portion of their living from providing good second hand items. Reuse and recycling for winning!

Karma Rags will be Very Open from 10 AM - 4 today for the VERY LAST TIME - Flying Monkey Arts, 2nd floor south, Lowe Mill! It's also Comic Con today and the FlyMo's fantastic long running local artist market on the FlyMo floor runs 2 extra hours today, from 10 to 6! We're the perfect antidote to a rainy winter Saturday!
