🐻🐱 With major changes* happening in my life, I am taking a step back from Bearcat Sewing as a business. I have grown so much in my time creating products, attending markets, and especially creating relationships. The people who I have been able to meet, especially at craft markets, has completely changed me into a woman who feels valuable, worthy of taking up space, and not "just a mom."

I will still be open to select commissions for quilts (with a fairly long lead time). I am also going to pivot this account back to sharing the joy of creating and trying new quilting and sewing techniques!

*Major changes = new job, starting grad school, make quilting a hobby again ❤

🐻🐱 The Ocelot is the custom bum bag you've been waiting for 😏 With the choice of interior and exterior fabrics and type of strap, you get the belt bag that you just haven't been able to find yet.

Some background: I made myself one of these bags several years ago and often wear it to markets. It's the perfect size for my phone, card processor, and change. And each time I wear it, so many people have asked if I sell them.

Now, I have made a couple for friends as custom projects, and it has been a joy! I know how great these bags are - I use them especially for traveling and hiking with my kids.

🐻🐱 It's Bear's spirit quilt! When I saw this panel, I knew that I had to make it into a wall hanging to show off the true nature of our cat. He is aloof, but still wants everyone to know he's around. He loves plants, but also will try to eat them if given the chance.

With only one in stock, I would love to find a sweet home for this display quilt! I am hanging it using small pins, but it can also be hung with the help of dowels or a beautiful wooden quilt holder.

🐻🐱 If anyone knows Bear, you know this is a rare moment of affection! Maybe he's finally grateful he is the namesake of Bearcat 🙄

Also, check out that cute bag in the corner 😏 My husband said they reminded him of origami which I love! Just like origami, these bags are made thoughtfully, slowly, and with great care. My bags are made to bring a little peace and joy into your day ❤

Fun fact: my husband, Tom, used to go to the movies a lot (single life flex) and would always fold his ticket stub into a paper crane and leave it as a "calling card" for the attendants.
