Calling all thrifters and secondhand enthusiasts……I am so excited to announce that we will be soft launching the Everewear platform on 3/20 at 12p EST💗

This platform has been 3 years in the making, and it all started when I had the idea that we need to make thrifting an easier experience. Whether you thrift because of the price, sustainability, or unique styles, I hope Everewear can be a tool for you to find your next favorite secondhand piece.

We will be launching to our waitlist first, so make sure you are signed up! Thank you to those who have been waiting patiently for all 3 years. It truly means the world to me and is a huge reason why I keep going! 🫶

Some photos from our event last Wednesday. This event marked 1 week until the pilot is scheduled to close and was a great way to showcase some of the changes we have made and are planning to make.

If you haven’t seen the pilot yet and you want to, there is still time! Schedule a 1-on-1 with me, or I am also opening up my dms for people who would like to see the drafted version of Everewear!

As always, this platform wouldn’t be as good as it is without all of your feedback. I am tired! But also so energized from how excited early users have been for this product.🌷

It’s been about a month since we started the Everewear Pilot. We have been getting some AWESOME feedback from you all.

Here are just some of the updates that have been done, since the pilot started:

1. On signup page, move ReCaptcha above “Submit” button
2. Typo in “User with the email doesn’t exists”
3. Special characters in passwords are now functional
4. Style quiz questions have been resorted
5. Calculate products based on current user instead of parameters
6. Moved style quiz evaluation code to back end
7. An unnecessary call to the backend to get products has been removed
8. Product attribute scores are now read from the database
9. Answers to “brands” question have been updated
10. Some improvements to the product search and the user login/registration process
11. Email sent when password is reset
12. Login - better error handling
13. Password character limit removed
14. Added Recaptcha to login, registration pages
15. After password reset, user is forwarded to login page
16. Added suits, hoodies to search algorithm
17. Handled multiple selections for Question 3 “What are you looking for?”
18. Handled a “Do not include” option - colors
19. Shop does not require the user be on the Style Options page prior to loading
20. Changed algorithm to be points-based
21. Handle API issues from partners better
22. Removed extra “$” on products page

Next up:
1. Add in some of the user interface feedback. We started to go about this in one way, and it didn’t work out so we are having to change course.
2. Add in product recommendations with live inventory from Shop Goodwill. Part of the machine learning is done and is ready to be integrated🎉
3. Announce next in person event!

It’s pre-launch day!🥳

This pre-launch is going to be a slow rollout, as we are able to further integrate with our first partner, Shop Goodwill, and as we receive feedback from you!

The first step of the slow rollout is access to the website via invite only. The first people to access the site are going to be the attendees of our Pre-Launch Event at the Speak Easy. There are still tickets available-please join us!

After initial feedback, I will start doing some virtual 1-on-1’s and virtual events. This is all in preparation for the official launch of the platform.

Your thoughts and desires for this platform are SO important to me, and I want to make sure you feel heard. Building this together means there is a higher chance of helping to move circular fashion forward. Let me know if you are interested in virtually meeting to help give feedback👇

Ahead of a very exciting Everewear pre-launch, I wanted to take the time to re-introduce myself.

Hi 👋🏻 My name is Anna (you can also call me El), and I am the founder of Everewear. I started Everewear out of my apartment during my junior year of college, which was 3 years ago. Although Everewear really started when I was a teenager learning about the incredibly harmful impacts of the fashion industry.

I started thrifting most of my clothes, as it was an accessible price point to shop sustainable fashion. I could also find a wide variety of styles and brands that I loved. However, I quickly realized that I cared enough about sustainability to spend hours in a Goodwill, but in order for secondhand to truly take market share away from fast fashion, the experience needed to be easier. This realization led me down the path of the capabilities of AI and machine learning to help implement an easier way to shop through recommendations.

$200k in funding, a partnership with Goodwill, and a team of advisors and mentors later, the pilot for Everewear is finally here. I am so excited to keep building out my vision for this product and to have you alongside with me!

Outside of building Everewear, I volunteer in conservation with the Indianapolis Zoo and as a CASA through Kids Voice of Indiana. I am also a very mediocre gardener.
