Sew Cute by Karin I’ve been sewing since I was five—my very first project was a cross-stitched Christmas kitchen towel for my mom in Kindergarten.

Inspired by my mom, a lifelong seamstress, I grew up surrounded by fabric and creativity. She taught my sister and me how to make our own clothes, costumes, pillows, drapes, and so much more. Over the years, I made outfits for school (no one ever knew!), and in the late ’80s and early ’90s, I sewed for my children too—everything from shorts and swimsuits to Halloween costumes… and yes, even MC Ham

mer pants! During the early days of Covid, when my day job slowed down, I started making custom masks for friends and family working in hospitals and clinics across the U.S. That experience rekindled my passion for sewing—and when my old machines retired, my husband surprised me with a new embroidery machine for Christmas. Suddenly, my sewing expanded into gifts for babies, children, teens, and more. Friends and family kept saying, “Oh, that is so cute!” so the name of this page practically chose itself. And here we are—Sew Cute by Karin! I love creating custom pieces and would be thrilled to make something special just for you. Check back often, as I’m always dreaming up new designs and expanding my collection.

✨ Join me for a fun afternoon of creativity! ✨I’ll be teaching how to make these adorable Quilted Notebook Covers next Saturday, April 11 from 1–3 PM at Select Sewing Service (Indianapolis) using their Husqvarna Viking and PFAFF machines. (Must be familiar with the machines).
Whether you’re looking to learn something new or just enjoy some sewing time, this is a great class to spark your creativity!
